I was in town to visit family as well as doing some business. As an IHG Gold member, almost always stay at the Glenpool Holiday Inn Express. However, since the first of the year, the prices have gone up there about 20% as well as now they are also charging a "resort fee" of $5 a night!! No reason whatsoever as they options there are not quite as good as the normal HIE are. Makes zero sense. So therefore the closest and best price was the AVID.

The hotel rooms are smaller and the decoration makes this very much "Europeanesque" type of a hotel. What you would find in a typical European style or brand hotel in Europe. Efficient, small and cosmopolitan. The tv is huge though in the room with a lot of options to it. The layout was nice and I especially enjoyed all the plugins for phones, computers, etc. They were placed in great areas to not be in the way with chords and such. The room was super hot and even when I didn't have the heater on; the room was over 70 degrees despite the temps outside being under freezing. So I had to use the AC at night to get the room cool enough to sleep in. Yes, single digit temps and have to use the AC to be cool enough to sleep.

Location was good and breakfast was good as well. I really enjoy the breakfast sandwiches they had and were quick and tasty. When I checked in, I wasn't welcomed as a IHG member though so that kind of bad as most places give me a welcome gift as well.... (First world problems, right?) So that is the only problem I ran into. Some guests were super loud and rude as I checked in on Saturday night but were drinking in the lobby and just enjoying the area. I was afraid it would be loud up stairs due to them but it actually was not. The rooms were not super quite as you could hear the other doors open and shut.

Cool chic, yet basic defined the hotel. I would stay again if the price was right, it was very high for this night but for the area was low. Simple but accomplished the need that I had.The main positive for me was how clean everything was. Super clean in room, hallways, public spaces.

We were greeted by a friendly desk clerk who offered information on nearby attractions and food. The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was perfect! Bathroom was clean and well-stocked with everything we could have needed. We really didn't have time for the grab and go breakfast but did get coffee and water as needed. I really loved the clean and fresh atmosphere and quiet area so close to busy mall and restaurant traffic- but we hardly noticed! Great stay only 10 minutes from family we visit frequently - so we will be using this hotel again often! Great pricing and value, great experience - we rate it 100 out of 10!

A Truly Horrific Hotel Experience at Avid Hotel Tulsa (and its Sister Property!)
This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. It wasn’t just inconvenient; it was actively hostile and left me stranded and in the cold. My nightmare began at the Avid Hotel Tulsa when, despite having a confirmed reservation and paying a deposit online (using my Chime card), the front desk attendant refused to check me in. Apparently, Avid doesn’t accept Chime or CashApp, which is frankly baffling in today's economy. What hotel doesn’t accept these forms of payment? It's practically unheard of!
This initial obstacle was just the start. When we tried to cancel due to their payment policy, the unsympathetic front desk lady refused to waive the cancellation fee. It felt like she was actively trying to make things difficult. To make matters exponentially worse, my car broke down! Desperate, I made a new reservation at what I was told was a sister hotel next door, again paying online. But incredibly, after the same awful front desk attendant seemingly alerted them, the second hotel also refused to give us a room, giving absolutely no reason for their denial.
This whole ordeal left me completely bewildered and frustrated. We ended up having to push our broken-down car off the property to avoid it being towed, and then we were forced to sleep in my car on a freezing cold Tulsa night. The lack of basic customer service, the financial loss from the denied cancellations, and the sheer inhumanity of the situation are shocking.
The blatant refusal from both hotels to accommodate us, without any clear reason, and the complete lack of empathy from the staff were appalling. I will actively avoid any Avid (or affiliated) hotels in the future. This was more than just a bad hotel experience; it was a complete disaster that left me feeling vulnerable and deeply mistreated. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this establishment. You’ll be much better off.

I love staying at IHG Hotels! This is my first time at Avid. I stayed 2 days for convenience of location from where I was working. The hotel appears clean, the grab and go breakfast was decent. However, I walked into my room and had to make my own bed and my room REAKED OF URINE the entire stay. I’m pretty sure it was one of the pillows my head was laying on because it was so strong that once I threw it out, the smell slightly improved. I will not be staying here again!

We stayed at Avid Hotel in Tulsa Hills this December and had a great experience. The hotel was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast had a nice selection of food to choose from.

What truly impressed us was the friendly customer service. We accidentally left an AirPod behind, and the front desk staff went out of their way to help us locate it. Their kindness and attentiveness really made a difference.

Downside was the walls being very thin, we heard the neighbors use the bathroom and…everything else…

Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and highly recommend Avid Hotel for its cleanliness, comfort, and excellent service.

I don’t think I will stay at another avid hotel again. While I’m ok with limited breakfast options, I expect those limited options to be served until breakfast is completed. At 8:30 on Sunday there were no sandwiches left, I asked about when will more be ready. The front desk attendant was pretty rude and said we only put out a certain number and when that’s gone we don’t make more. The same front desk agent was there on Monday, so when I went to checkout, I asked for a copy of my folio. She was rude and said they email them. It’s Tuesday still no folio. I had to contact IHG to get it. Next thing I had issues with is the room cleanliness, the toilet had a gross ring around it when we checked in, I was going to say something after breakfast, but knew that lady would shrug her shoulders and not fix the problem. The pillows are all hard, even the soft ones. One towel had a hole in it. I really did not have a pleasant stay.

This is a fairly new hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Most importantly the bed was very comfortable and the room was dark for sleeping. No light leaking around the shades or under the door. We enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches better than the typical breakfast at the HI Expresses where we usually stay. We will definitely stay here when in the Tulsa area again.

The hotel itself is nice but having a rude front desk attendant (hispanic girl with red hair) makes the whole experience a 0 star if that was available. She is always on her phone and doesn't know how to acknowledge customers. When I asked for a receipt she said her printer was broken. This has been happening since the last 3 stays. How can your business operate without a printer. I asked the previous attendant if the printer worked she said yes so that proved the rude girl has been lying. Also when she said she would send recepts via email she never sent them.
