After a week of historical learning, There was no better way to end it than a stay at The Atwood House! This is what every B&B should be and definitely set the standard for me! Not only was the bed more comfortable than our Sleep Number, but the warmth of the house could not be beaten by any hotel. I have stayed at over a thousand hotels and I can assure you that The Atwood House was my best experience. The breakfast served by our host was five star and the conversation was like talking to an old friend! My wife and I will be back.

Used this B&B as a stopover on our way from Charlotte to Chicago and back. What a pleasant experience! This very large home has 4 bedrooms of varying sizes and amenities. Bill, the owner is the finest gentleman (he butlered previously) and a great breakfast cook. Every piece of furniture, book, tchotchke, bedding and bath is period-style excellence, including the parlor piano. |The B&B is located at the edge of a 4-block historic district with several restaurants that Bill can recommend, and a host of shops and establishments that make Ohio’s First Capital a charming stop-over.

We stayed here due to bed size and location for a wedding and reception in town. We did not anticipate to the wonderful host and refined accommodation we found. Bill the owner operator host and chef, is amazing. From the moment we stepped into his home we were treated with openness and loving kindness. Bill and his home are a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of Maryland that we felt relaxed, settled and in the presence of a friend warm and welcoming. The accommodations are amazing, the breakfast and service are truly a reflection of his love and attention to detail. We stayed in the President’s Room in early May. The room was roomy and filled with President-related memorabilia, Bill is a wonderful host and storyteller. If you and he have the time at breakfast or early evening, take 20-30 minutes to hear his career adventures. The B&B is located about 2 blocks from the downtown restaurants and shops which we enjoyed. This B&B is a do again and hope there is availability the next time we’re in town

This B&B was built in the late 1800 to early 1900s. The owner has worked for 20 years to restore and maintain the home in its original beauty. It doesn’t lack any modern conveniences such as (A/C, TV ext.) The property has a beautiful garden with seating. There are also several outdoor covered porches. There is a working fire place in the large living room. The breakfast that is served is not like a free breakfast a chain Motel. It is within walking distance of downtown, with food and shopping.

Bill was a wonderful host. We stayed in the President's Room. The bed was very comfortable and there were lots of interesting memorabilia to look at. The bathroom was very clean and stocked with toiletries. The breakfast was very good and served promptly at 9a. Bill was kind enough to show us around the house and tell us about the history and about some of the items he has furnished it with. There are also lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance of the house. We had a great experience.

Bill graciously hosted our family for a beautiful wedding weekend. Everything was perfect. Staying at Atwood House is a step back in time with beautiful rooms and a garden. Loved hearing about the history of the house and the surrounding area from Bill, who is so knowledgeable about art, architecture and antiques. He is also a fantastic chef.
