Steve and Karen are wonderful people with warming hospitality. With a real western tranquility. Absolutely the most peaceful resort ever. The cabins are very nice, and at night, you hear the cows calling their calves and the owls hooting in the trees and the coyotes howling in the morning, making you feel like you're camping on the cattle drive. If you're looking to get away from the hustle and to get some peace and quiet to unwind. This is the only place it will truly happen. I highly recommend this place.

This is the best ranch resort and restaurant to reunite with friends and family. Karen and Steve are the most welcoming hosts and serve outstanding meals. The rooms and cabins are fresh and clean with high-end appointments. The night sky is dark so the stars seem close and you can sit out on the deck, with a drink from the bar, and watch the satellites go over. Take a ride on a gentle horse and help work the cattle. Enjoy other activities or just relax watching the cattle and deer. Just visiting for lunch or dinner is well worth the drive.

We LOVED our time here. This is truly a quiet, off-the-grid experience. The cabins were comfortable, spacious, and I was not expecting the meticulous care taken daily (more akin to being in a hotel than a cabin). Food was amazing and we also brought food for the days we wanted to cook in our cabins. We enjoyed board games in the lodge, an outing to a fishing lake, horseback riding, and cards on our own porch overlooking the meadow.

What an amazing family getaway! We traveled to Aspen RR with our daughter, son in law, and their 2 kids (our grand kids). It is THE most gorgeous place... quiet.. surrounded by nature.. day trips in the car.. and the best steak cooked to perfection in their restaurant. Hosts (and real-time cattle ranch operators Karen & Steve Simmons are incredible people, and have been living their dream for half a century. The Lodge has rooms right there, a bar, a gathering space, wrap-around wide decks that look over their acreage and cattle. Our cabin had everything: a fully functioning kitchen, ample dining area with view, great living space, wondrous sleeping rooms and great wrap around deck and unobstructed view. We hiked and swam and rode horses and fished and identified plants. We will go back in a heartbeat.

We decided to celebrate our anniversary this year locally! We usually spend it at the coast but this year the fires over there changed our minds!| I had been to the Aspen Ridge Resort multiple times since the early 90's! But hadn't stayed overnight in the past 20+ years!| We had such a great experience this time! We stayed in one of the lodge rooms above the restaurant! It even had a private deck overlooking a huge meadow!| We actually got acquainted with former California Governor Jerry Brown and his wife, Ann! A very nice couple!| The meals were great! I took the Tri-Tip challenge for one to earn a free dessert if I could eat the entire meal! Found out later from Resort Co owner and Chef Steve that the Tri-Tip weighed over 2lbs!|What a prime slab of their locally grown beef!| We toured the countryside and three nearby lakes while we were there!| I would highly recommend that resort and we can't wait to go back next year!

We recently celebrated our anniversary there! Had the best time ever! Our meals were delicious and owners Karen and Steve Simmons were a great hostess and host!
We ended up having breakfast with former California Governor, Jerry Brown and his wife, Ann! A very interesting and polite couple!
I actually ate a Tri-Tip that weighed around 2 lbs that Steve grilled over Mesquite wood! I earned my free dessert!
We can't wait to go back thete next year! What a great experience!

Just wanna give a shout out to Aspen Ridge Resort nestled in the heights of the quartz mountain… We had a wonderful sight seeing trip coming in, stopping at Heart lake and Holbrook reservoir. Then arriving at Aspen Ridge Resort (5000+ elevation)

We were floored by the views when we arrived at our off grid destination. The tranquility and the heart stopping views, the Sunrises and Sunsets were all so beautiful … the hospitality was second to none.

We went horseback riding and felt like real ranchers as we did the morning cattle check. Words can’t express how we felt as they rolled out the red carpet for us…. Making new friends with all the staff was simply a delight as we experienced Gods fabulous nature while relaxing in this beautiful setting… we will definitely be coming back soon!! This is a fantastic hidden gem and last but certainly not least… drumroll!!!

The restaurant is absolutely phenomenal, service is impeccable, and the atmosphere cannot be beat…. Wow, I’m stuffed!!

Karen was lovely- the perfect hostess. Steve was the best "bar-b-que-er". And Larissa was fabulous!||My family and I visited Aspen Ridge this summer on our way to the Grand Canyon from Vancouver, WA. It was an absolute joy! Although we had a bit of trouble finding the ranch because GPS doesn't quite get you there (Karen provided good directions); once we arrived, we were treated like royalty! We stayed in one of the beautiful cabins on the property which was wonderful, clean, quiet and comfortable. Karen served as on sight cook and hostess and she did such a great job! She was kind, considerate and so pleasant! We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. Karen cooked for us the entire time (except Steve made the beef Tri-tip we had the second night- fabulous!) . My whole family LOVES her biscuits!||On the second day, we were taken on a wonderful horseback ride by Larissa . This was no ordinary trail ride. We actually went out onto the ranch to make sure the newborn calves were healthy! It was a fantastic experience. Larissa was so professional and fun!||My family fell in love with Aspen Ridge and we hope to be able to return!
