The service was top tier professional. The food was delicious. My guests showered me with compliments about the small bites, entrees, and appetizers. I actually don’t think I ordered enough because, it was gone almost immediately. Not only that, the kitchen was so clean after the service that it didn’t even look like it had a full staff, servers, chef and assistants occupying the space. This made my job, as an event manager, so simple. I would highly recommend this fellow Veteran and his team for any event that requires food service!!!! Call Artistic Soul!

Where do I start? They are the best to ever do it. They treat you like family, they listen to what you want and they bring some of the best flavorful dishes. They catered my sweet treat table for my reception and became family and friends. Artistic is absolutely the best and you can’t go wrong by booking them.

I do not usually write reviews. Sometimes I think they may be biased or not based on fact. After our event I was compelled to write a review. I ordered catering for our office lunch party. It was meant to be a special treat for everyone working so hard over the last year. I have to say, not only was Artistic Soul lovely to work with but they walked us through the menu options and worked with us on what would best fit our budget. The food arrived on time. They set everything up quickly and beautifully I didn't have to lift a finger. The food was extraordinary! Usually catering is not as good as enjoying it in a plated restaurant but this far exceeded my expectations. The beef tips were out of this world. I would whole heartedly recommend them for your next event. Don't believe me...ask the 12 people in my office who can't stop raving. Please keep up the amazing work and we will hire you again in the future.

Artistic Soul’s food and service is 5 stars. All of the food was delicious and there was plenty! The service was amazing. Genesis and Zoe were our servers for the day and not only were they very personable and helpful, they also gave me insight on things I had no idea I needed lol. They were awesome 10/10 I would constantly recommend! This weekend wasn’t my first time having them and it certainly will not be the last, let me tell you!

I do not like writing bad reviews, especially for Black businesses I hope to support but I was sorely disappointed with the service and care from Artistic Soul for my wedding (ie the most important day of our lives) last October 2024. I have waited to share my thoughts in the hopes that they would reach out to rectify the situation privately, but they did not. So here I am. (Warning : long and detailed)

Insufficient Food Quantity: plain and simple: There was not enough food to feed our guests, which made us look cheap, even though catering was our most expensive vendor.

We had guests who no-showed after we gave our final headcount or did not attend the reception and yet there was still not enough food for all guests that were there. The bride and groom’s parents both reported that they did not receive their fair portions of food, and others felt the food portions were confusing and inadequate for sharing. We requested family style in the hopes of presenting a communal abundant feeling and table sharing of food brought out in courses to our guests. It seemed they prepped for our event as if it was plated and STILL did not bring enough food.

Presentation and Portion Sizes: Artistic Soul falsely advertised their portion sizes, not once but twice. Once for my (the bride’s) tasting and again for the father of the bride (who also went and paid for a tasting himself to give his opinion) The food served at our reception was smaller and altogether missing more costly items (such as shrimp toppers) that were upsold to us, and was not consistent with the tasting. Missing Packed Meal for Bride & Groom: No meal was set aside for us — the bride and groom!!— after the wedding, and our unfinished plates were cleared from the table without our notice or permission while we were dancing. When I — the bride!!— walked to the kitchen to inquire about a packed meal for us on the day, there was no explanation from either Farah or Antoine as to why it was not provided. No one seemed to know what I was talking about. I later called and Farah told that there were “flies” on our food, and so the executive decision was made to throw it away without asking us This is Inconsistent with what was said to me on my wedding day, so clearly a nonsensical lie to cover up the fact that they did not prepare enough food for us to have a bride and groom meal.

Neither of us finished our food at the reception. So we left *our own reception* still hungry.

Dinner Service / Staff: We were not pleased with the dinner service, as the flow of family style service seemed lopsided;  Some of our guest tables received only side dishes and were waiting a long time for their entrees, while other tables were waiting on side dishes, or second rounds of entrees that never arrived.

Vendor Meals: After our recent call with Farah we were told that 12 vendors ate (3 of which we accounted for with guest cancellations), but then we were invoiced for 9 additional vendor meals. However, in fact, only 4 vendors (2 photographers, 1 videographer, and 1 DJ) ate as we confirmed that no one from our coordinator — who has worked with this catering company for years— or Venue teams ate during the reception.

The lack of food quantity and the chaotic service during the reception was embarrassing for us and left many of our guests dissatisfied. Especially some of the most important people— our parents and ourselves!! The service was so bad, our coordinator wrote a letter stating her professional opinion about what was done wrong. Which they did not respond to.

As the bride, I was not happy. Was the little food that we did manage to eat good? Yes. They know how to cook. Do they know how to serve an 100+ person wedding. Absolutely not.
They were grossly unprepared and did not bother to reach out to apologize or rectify.

Amazing Food!!!!! I would highly recommend this caterer. They did a great job for my mom’s birthday dinner. Food was great and the service was really good too!
