The Hosts are great people. This place is a great getaway for people who want to experience the rustic south west. Tucked back in the hills north of Lake Pleasant, this location is wonderful and the scenery magnificent. I would recommend checking out this ranch to anyone.

This property is situated in a glorious setting in the desert. The air is clean and the owners Mark and Cindy with their new puppy Bud are lovely people. There is no stress just a friendly atmosphere. My friend Steve has now stayed here many times it’s a true oasis in the desert.🌵

This is a fantastic place to stay. Host Mark and Cindy are very friendly and welcoming. Several miles up a graded road into the Sonoran desert, this place is just beautiful, and the night skies can only be marvelled at as the lights of Phoenix glow very gently - and unobtrusively - on the horizon. Hope to stay again some day soon.

Update in August 2022. I have been back to Hidden View Ranch several times since my first review. The place is amazing, and Mark and Cindy are the perfect hosts. Their dog Layla now has a new companion in Trucker, a stray kitten they rescued.

If you want a holiday with a difference, in a location that cannot be beat, with hosts who will make you feel right at home and want to return, this is the place to go.

As before, the road can be a little difficult, but most vehicles can pass it easily enough - just give Mark a call beforehand, and he will tell you what you need to know.

So, several visits under my belt, already looking forward to the next one.

Hidden View Ranch may be remote, but it is well worth the drive to get there! Mark and Cindy are fantastic hosts and make you feel welcome before you even arrive. Their dog Layla is very friendly and likes to play! The house stands on a hillside at the end of a long driveway and has glorious views down the valley to Lake Pleasant. While we were there, we hiked around the area through cactus fields and desert, and enjoyed looking at the crystal-clear night sky from the terrace. Plenty to do in the area, with Lake Pleasant only a 30-minute drive away, hiking, horse riding, desert tours etc. Thoroughly highly recommended.

I have not experienced the retreat - this is a character review for Mark and Cindy, the owners. They are incredible people that do great work. Mark has a concrete business and did a small job for me. Both Mark and Cindy personally came out to make sure the job was done right and exceeded my expectations. I own a small business and pride myself on good customer service and communication. Mark is a prime example of how a small business owner should operate. I highly recommend Mark and his lovely wife and can't wait to experience his retreat. Looks amazing!

Hidden View is a beautiful home built between the mountains with a clear view to Lake Pleasant. The views of the desert are simply breathtaking. Because there are no city lights near by, the sky lights up with most vivid shine of the constellations. This home (now Bed and Breakfast) built by your hosts, Mark and Cindy is lovely and oh so comfortable. After we left we went out and bought the same toppers they had on the beds as I had never had such a good night sleep in years! Cindy's garden lends itself to fresh vegetables right to the table and Mark can make mean BBQ. Because they are a small B/B The are able to cater to your specific needs. Discuss the road coming in with your hosts as it can be tricky but they can pick you up close to the lake and bring you in with a jeep if you like. It was hard to rate it on location because the location is beautiful, just a bit tricky to get to. A Great place for quad runners. When you complete privacy and quiet, THIS IS THE PLACE! Be sure to give Lola and Buddy pets for us! Such sweet dogs.

The home was creatively built by its owner/innkeeper with a great deal of love overlooking Lake Pleasant and surrounded by gorgeous desert mountain views. It was the perfect area for off-road ATV and horseback rides! This was the ideal place for us since we were looking for truly unique bed and breakfast with a rustic Western flavor and lots of privacy. It was real home-away-from home complete with its friendly, welcoming hosts, Mark and Cindy. It was the ideal location for our nice romantic get away. The home cooked hot breakfast using their own organically grown vegetables and fruits were fantastic! Mark is a really GREAT cook! ||||Would highly recommend this B&B experience not only for couples for also for families!

We had the opportunity to stay at the ranch for only one night but immediately felt like we were visiting family. Mark & Cindy (and lovable dog Layla) and their hospitality made our visit a special memory to our visit to AZ. The breakfast, great conversation, and endless views added the icing to our cake! Looking forward to a longer visit with them next time.
