This hotel was perfect for us! It's close to the family, in the middle of the city and has a bar/restaurant. The staff was welcoming throughout our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed a breakfast buffet which I personally thought wasn't the best. I'm not really a breakfast person anyway but the kids enjoyed it. Very convenient location close to major attractions in Lorain city. Price was decent but we wanted to be in the city and not stay too far away. Our family enjoyed it over all and I would recommend for this place for sure.

Let me start by saying this hotel is very nice. The rooms looked clean and visually pleasing. The only reason I'm giving the hotel 5 stars was that the rooms had a strong smell of weed. My wife and I were a chance to try out a few rooms, but it seemed that people didn't respect the hotel rules. We have allergies and were not able to stay. I hope they are able to resolve the smell issue because I would really like a chance to spend some time at this location... I think the drapes were holding the weed smell.

This was my second visit to this hotel. Both were positive experiences. The rooms (I had a standard double queen) are large, and I love that there is LVP flooring instead of carpet. Everything in my room was spotless. The lobby area is nice, and I found the hotel staff and ownership to be very friendly and helpful. Shoutout especially to Angie in the bar. She’s hardworking and very nice. And I also want to say thanks to the chef for one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. ||My hope is that the hotel will be a catalyst and that the Broadway area businesses will continue to grow.

The hotel was lovely - clean, friendly, great views and location. All of the staff were helpful, friendly and made me feel welcomed. Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Charming and great location. Definitely would recommend and stay again

What a wonderful place. Intriguing part of the local history yet totally updated. Accomodations were new and perfect. Staff very helpful. Food was amazing and I bet was all homemade! We saw a most beautiful sunset over the lake practically within walking distance! Or probably even from a lake view side upper room. We were there on a weekday so we went out to breakfast at the Beach Cliff diner. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but you don't want to pass this one by! Inside was beautifully old school and the food was great!

I didn't stay overnight. My brother and his spouse did. This is a classic remodeled hotel. Compliments with a Big O'Shout Out to the owner; I'm not sure who that may be. Fabulous Job indeed. Dinner was exquisite, fine dining. It had a lovely atmosphere, and the food was exceptional with a touch of old-fashioned professionalism. It's hard to find these days. Location, say no MORE! A view of an open bridge for ships and large charter boats to pass through is still in operation. Very few remain in this country. A Classic Hotel indeed. As Arnold Schwarzenegger once said; " I'll Be Back". Peace!

Our stay here was enjoyable and pleasant. The room we were in was clean and nicely renovated with modern touches. It was quiet with the occasional thunk when a neighboring guest door would close.
Hotel front desk personnel were helpful. Upon check-in there was an issue with the computer needing to be restarted; nothing major upon that when checking in. Hotel is within walking distance of some business establishments if you don’t mind walking. Also, it’s a short drive to Lakeview Beach.
Housekeeping staff when encountered were cordial. Location of Ariel Broadway Hotel is located near the Black River. We weren’t lucky enough to get waterfront views.

Tip: Leave the ‘Please Service Room’ tag on the outside when you want room service. We did not therefore our room wasn’t serviced. Overall, our stay was relaxing and comfortable.

Sigh... I want places like this to strive - and survive... |Beautiful old turn of the century hotel, so the building itself is spectacular. Service was completely below average. Asked about a particular floor/room, and the lady said she had never actually "been up there" lol... I didn't know if she was joking, but she didn't smile while she said it. The room she put us in - where do I start... |It was an "interior" room - so our view was a wall (spoke to someone over the phone months earlier who guaranteed us a outer corner room on a high floor - this wasn't it), due to that there was NO TV signal available on the set, we couldn't figure out the thermostat due to it's complexity, you WILL hear people in other rooms or out in the hall unfortunately. The room we were in had only 1 side table for a King bed, and the lack of any reachable outlets is mind boggling few. This could be rectified by having lamps/radio you could plug into, and on that note, the room lamp didn't work. Wi-Fi was useless - again... Internal room perhaps...Finally - and we just cracked up at this... The pictures in the room was of the DEVISTATION/DESTRUCTION pics of the tornado that came through 100 years ago, lol... So someone thought - here's a great pic for people to wake up to, lol... |I wouldn't stay here unless you know you're getting a different room other than 221.
