Unfortunately this hotel was my only choice during my time in Tuscaloosa for a funeral I was to attend this morning. I was told by DeDe at the front desk that for Friday September 27th 2024 my room would be $317 for the night. I told DeDe that I was in town for a funeral and would have to stay until Sunday September 29th. She told me that if I pay for my stay for Saturday whether I pay for it on Friday or Saturday that the fee would be $590.00+. I was going to extend my stay only due to family purposes. I checked to confirm what DeDe told me and the rate is significantly less than what I was told. I called and spoke to Tameka, she was very polite and professional and she tried her best to accommodate me. She spoke to the owner and he stated that he changed the rate of the room last minute for smoking rooms only. He is dishonest and so is DeDe. The rate change is for all rooms not just smoking. Amongst other things this would not be a hotel I would recommend to anyone. This is a dishonest establishment. Beware!!! Take your business elsewhere.

Could not be more impressed!! Very clean hotel! Employees were outstanding! The location was PERFECT! And to top it off, on an Alabama A-Day weekend they allowed 1 night reservations and did not raise prices. They had coffee, cereal, some fruit and donuts in their breakfast area but there is a Waffle House touching their parking lot. There is also a Shrimp Basket touching their parking lot. They have smoking and non-smoking rooms. All around A+++ I will DEFINITELY stay here again if the chance arises!!

First impression....outside doors need painting. Could be a little cleaner. Coffee pots in room would be nice, thicker and more towels would also be nice. We ran out of toilet there was only a small piece of a role

this hotel is outdated and half of the electrical plugs in my room weren’t working. Floor lamp wouldn’t turn on, and the tv just stopped working and would not turn back on. We had 2 rooms - and both rooms were not worth the amount charged. Shower floor was soft and spongy. Stayed here for graduation and not able to recommend staying here to anyone. Oh - room keys constantly needed to be rekeyed. Nice front desk staff - owner really needs to invest money to make this hotel nicer for the amount charged.

We stay here every time we are in Tuscaloosa, football games, concerts, or just to visit our friend in assisted living, the staff is always very nice, our room is always clean if you need anything all you have to do is tell them and they get it for you, we love staying here it's very convenient to most places we go to, hopefully when we come back the tv will have local channels other than that we are very pleased

Beware!!!!!!!!!
Housekeeping will steal from you !!!!!
They literally took a disposable cup out our room and my sister caught it on their cart,(we had left to go to the game)
We got towels before we left and was a stay over so it was no need to come into our room when we wasn’t here.
When I went into my room to check belongings I notice my money we had left inside the room was missing.
I went to front desk the lady was very nice (worker)
Then she called the owner wife to tell her what happen.
I was told to go to my room and I’ll receive a call from manager …. (No one called) so I went back and asked why I didn’t receive a call she told me the owner wife was here and she’ll talk with me.
She was VERY, Very rude. I was asking for her to look at the camera (she said she had no access) not understanding why? But yeah.
I showed her the cup the housekeeper had that we got from my job very unique cups I will add photo !!!
She said basically it was our lost because no one went into our room which was a LIE!
(We never got our money back )
The bed was broke on one side,
Holes and mattress,
Toilet wouldn’t flush,
Hole in tub and dirty.
Pillow cases had to be changed because they were dirty (when we arrived)
Most lights don’t work…
When I say run so fast don’t book I’m giving you far warning!!!!!!
We were here for A day game and one of my friends booked it,
so I honestly never read the reviews before we came.
but once I came and read the reviews they were allllll correct. RUN!!!!!!! Ms.Jackson was great though I will give credit when it’s due (she one of the housekeepers) they called her THE BLACK LADY !!! (Very unprofessional)

The location and room were ok. We were charged a $50 deposit in case we smoked in there and it took 2 weeks to get it back. Smoke from other people's rooms was actually coming into our room so I don't know how they judge that. Pretty easy morning walk to Krispy kreme.
