Nice and clean motel with responsive staff and staff. I left my jacket by mistake in the room and they had it for me to pick up when I called them the next week to retrieve the item!
Thank you

Nobody reads the one star reviews, but this is truly a one star dump|of a hotel. ||At check-in, the clerk wanted to keep my driver’s license to make sure I checked out the next morning. Like hell. (Seriously, is that legal - and do they have a problem with people overstating their reservation in this sewer of a motel). ||No sheets on the bed, the TV didn’t work, and it’s in the worst area. ||The warning on the room key sleeve says it all. ||It must be owned by a slumlord who occasionally writes his own favorable reviews on Trip Advisor.

I had to conduct some business and needed only one night. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, and I wasn't familiar with the area. This motel sits under a freeway, and there were no drug dealers in the parking lot, as opposed to the rest of downtown. The parts of this city that I was exposed to were rundown, filthy, depressing, and a little frightening. In comparison to that, the lady at the front desk was very nice, the grounds were well maintained, and the room was satisfactory. My only suggestion would be that whoever cleans the rooms should focus on scrubbing the doors and walls. Other than that, the beds were clean, the shower, sink and toilet were all spotless, the air conditioning and television worked, as did the refrigerator and microwave. The wi-fi was terrible. There were no disruptions during the night, and I didn't notice any noise from the freeway. Oh, and I'm pretty sure the bedspreads were homemade (made well), and I got Gryffindor!

All told, the lodging is pretty good. The beds and bathroom are clean, the furniture is nice, and there are no problems with any basic hotel expectations.

However, they advertise a "jacuzzi", referring to a shower/bath in the room - great for a bathroom, but not a jacuzzi. The "continental breakfast" consists of Otis Spunkmeyers pastries (none were left when I came), Sunny D, and coffee. The staff is somewhat nice at best, but often rude; they would not provide an extra pillow or toothbrush.

Verdict: again, the room and basic amenities were nice, clean, and worth five stars. But, false advertising and mediocre customer service means an overall 3 stars.

Come for the room, stay for the breakfast! Arrived at the Inn at 10pm in the evening on a Saturday evening and there was ample rooms available. The price for a single (queen) bed was 75.00 a night plus tax. The location was right off the highway but there really wasn't much else around the place. The staff was polite, rooms clean and they even left an extra roll of toilet paper...just incase.||||One thing the Best Value Inn could improve on would be the breakfast. A couple of old apples, one coffee pot and four cheese cream donuts was all the was offered. All in all it was a pleasant experience and for the price it can't be beat.

Use EXTREME CAUTION if you are looking for place to sleep during an Insomniac Event. Our room was broken into and we lost valuable materials (backpacks, wallets, car keys, etc.)
I called prior to arriving and requested an early check-in if possible, the manager was kind enough to accommodate and allow us in an hour early. When entering, the room looked clean at first glance. After being in for a few minutes, you begin to notice all of the issues and flaws.
The pillows and towels were dingy and not clean. The owner did mention that the towels may not be ready when I requested the early check in, but I would have rather had no towels over used. The dresser below the TV had a dead spider and a smashed cricket/grass hopper inhabiting it. The toilet seat was handing on by a thread and the handle was one good tug from falling right off. We weren't able to use the freezer too much because there was a large build up of ice that had not been cleaned out.
We attended the aforementioned Insomniac Event and returned to find out that our room had been broken into. I walked directly across the parking lot to the front office, both room and office very visible to one another, to report what we had found. When mentioned to the actual owner, he asked us to go verify if we really did have our property stolen. To be honest, we did double check, but really felt insulted that he wouldn't take our word for it.
The owner claimed this was the first time anything like this had happened and that he had no clue. When I asked if there are any cameras we can look at, he explained that his IT guy had told him the week prior that the cameras did not record. I insisted we look at the cameras and he was able to pull them up with help from another employee in the building. While reviewing the video footage, he was unable to navigate the application and properly look for any sign of forced entry. His suggestion was to forget it and call the police. I persisted and asked if I could try to use his phone to find the footage, he was kind enough to let me search.
Once I was able to find the footage of the person who broke in to our room, he continued to pressure to drop it and just file a police report , which we had done, but continued to find any angles of the crime. He mentioned, " I would file the police report. Sometimes people don't file the report bc they are afraid to be arrested for what was stolen." We didn't have anything to hide, we just wanted our belongings and car keys.
As the morning got later and later, we were waiting for spare car keys to be delivered to us. We approached checkout and needed to speak to the office again. We tried talking to the owner again for some form of discount or accommodation due to the lack of security or help, we were swiftly and angrily told to leave. We asked for any form of documentation or signature acknowledging that our room was broken into, but the owner was not cooperative and denied having any insurance that would assist us.
We collected our belongings and left with a terrible taste in our mouths.
I want to rate honestly with a 2 Star because the owner did try and help us out upon arrival. Robbery aside, this may be a decent place to stay, but definitely consider anywhere else if you are traveling with anything valuable. The lower price will not make up for the lack of help when things go wrong here.
