This is by far one of the most cleanest, friendliest, and consistent hotels I’ve ever been in. The staff is top notch! The room are too cute. Boutique perfection. All you need for a nice sweet stay in Amelia Island.
It is a close enough walk to downtown but far enough away for peace and quiet. The bar is open to the public but it shuts down early enough to not be bothersome. They have a sweet little continental breakfast in the morning to start your day but when visiting this town you should definitely go and seek out the local hot spots for breakfast and brunch! The staff is knowledgeable about the town and will steer you in the right direction!

Love this quaint little bed and breakfast so much! I have Been numerous times and have never been disappointed! Love all the decor and ambience🙂. The bar area is perfect for a nice relaxing drink. The cocktails are always top notch! I love That they have a happy hour and serve small appetizers. The bar manager Courtney is one of the best on the island. Y’all go enjoy! You will not be disappointed!

The best inn on the island! Location is perfect, just on the outskirts of the downtown. Close enough to walk but not so class as to be in the middle of everything. Staff are all so nice and know so much about the island and the inn’s history. Beautiful rooms and lovely craft cocktails at the bar. Should definitely be your go to spot when you vacation on Amelia!!

Outstanding property and I am a complete hotel snob. The building has been beautifully restored. The staircase, the floors, the bar and so much more are stunning. You immediately feel at home in this immaculate property. We were in room 9 for 2 nights and loved it. The high ceilings are also awesome. The property is quiet, beautiful, classy, and a true historic gem.

I am always a little suspect at a place with 5 star reviews across the board. This place deserved every 5 star review it got. The staff was so nice. Bartender was fantastic. The hotel in general was clean, beautifully restored and gave great homage to the historic schoolhouse that it was. Our room was gorgeous and large. They had cute little Christmas decorations on the dresser that were just a crazy, thoughtful thing that you will not get at a Hilton!! We stayed at a different historic hotel earlier in our vacation and it was not taken care of anywhere close to the attention this place has received. We were a block away from where the downtown started so totally walkable to restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel!! We will definitely be back to enjoy it and the amazing local shops and restaurants.

Room was small with no chair to sit in the read that is comfortable. Later I found out the are chairs on the 2nd floor to sit in but would have been nice to know on check in but bar is loud so would not have been quiet to sit there to read. It would have helped it it wasn’t raining so I could have spent more time outside. I’ll choose a different place next time that has more sitting areas outside the room or has comfortable chairs in the room. It would be nice in the bathroom to have a shelf next to the sink to put toiletries on. There is just a sink with no space next to it to place things

After considering several higher-priced alternatives we chose the Schoolhouse for our reunion of “senior” HS classmates from all over the country. Easy travel to JAX airport. Inn the perfect size for our group, nice breakfast bar for informal gatherings, clean comfortable rooms, elevator, all renovations very tasteful, interesting historical photos posted throughout. Wonderful location, walking distance to Fernandina Beach historic downtown. Outdoor pool looked inviting, but weather turned freezing—seriously—so we never tried it! Only “complaint”—bar was closed (8:30 pm) when we returned from dinner restaurants. Highly recommended!

The Amelia Schoolhouse Inn was perfect! Our stay was amazing. The rooms were lovely and very well maintained. We enjoyed the continental breakfast and the Principal’s office tavern was fantastic. The staff were all professional and went out of their way to help us. I am looking forward to returning to Amelia Island and staying at the Amelia Schoolhouse Inn.
