This is the first Golden Valley business I used regularly from the early days of living here. Amber and Sierra have always taken such kind and loving care of my dogs. My “kids” always come home looking fabulous. I’m so glad we have such terrific groomers here in Golden Valley!

I don't have words for how phenomenal these women are. I've a very finicky, easily startled former street dog that is none too fond of tootsie touching. The gals here are the perfect level of no nonsense, understanding, and go well and far beyond what is typically expected of a groomer. They will not kick you out, nor will they make you feel bad. They're going to reassure you, get the job done, and give you all the advice available to help your floof feel less afraid next time. Just had my girl groomed by Malia. Absolutely wonderful job. I’ve taken my dog to be groomed at several different companies, who always missed something or never cleaned my dog well. When I picked up my girl they paid so much attention to small details. They used a special shampoo for my dogs dry skin to help her itching, and they cared about her fears and took it slow with her. She’s the cleanest she has ever been. Thank you guys so much! Support your small businesses Golden Valley, this is a great company!

When we dropped off our dogs, we were told by the brunette young lady groomer to come back in two hours. I just wanted my Labrador to be shampooed, her nails didn’t need trimming. For our smaller/older dog we requested shampoo/haircut/nails trimmed. We came back in 2 hrs 15 mins, and our dogs weren’t done yet. .

I said we were originally quoted two hours, and it’s been over two hours. I asked “How much longer will it take to finish with our smaller/older dog?” The owner lady was yelling/looked angry and scrunching her face said “We need another hour,” she was only standing half-way across the room. She didn’t need to yell like that just to be heard by me. I was actually surprised at this woman’s unprofessional countenance.

I asked her why she was yelling at me? I was a new client, why was she yelling at me, a paying customer? The owner lady said “I’m not yelling, this is how I always talk so people can hear me.” So I stepped closer to her and said please don’t yell, I’m close to you now.

I said we can take the dogs now, how much do we owe you? They told us not to pay them anything, which was also a surprise. But OK.

The two younger ladies (one is brunette, the other is blonde and expecting her first baby) were professional, very well-mannered and polite. You can tell they love their work. They both were honestly a joy to meet.

My female Labrador is mild-mannered and meek, and I know she was scared about the cage and loud dryers, since it was her first time at a groomers. I’m sorry but I *do not* recommend Amber’s Mutt Hut for dog grooming, because the owner lady is completely rude and unprofessional. Some dogs (as mine is) are gentle souls, and are a little shy, and this was a hard experience for me and my Labrador.
