We stayed here for the University of Arizona's family weekend. I did not want to stay here based on the TripAdvisor reviews.||It was not as bad as I was expecting.||You pull up and it is on a busy road (Speedway), with a bus stop and Tucson's finest citizens at the bus stop (not) so I was really really wary walking in.||The lobby is bright and spacious, it's not super nice, but it was clean and big. They have a big area with a selection of drinks/snacks for purchase. At night, there is an area that becomes a bar and supposedly the free breakfast is decent but we never tried it. Pool is dumpy but there is a pool. I will stay the staff was really nice, helpful and friendly.||I asked for a quiet room so we didn't hear any of the Speedway noise. We didn't hear any hallway noise either and it was a big party weekend. We slept fine. We found the room to be spacious and clean. Housekeeping is every other day but they did bring more towels and water on request obviously.||It's not as convenient for walking to and from UofA and University Avenue as some of the popular hotel options. However, my husband and I walked down the Greek row street so that made it a pleasant walk back to the hotel after hitting the bars with our son and his friends. It look us about 20-25 minutes to walk to and from University Ave. It was not a horrible walk and it was nice to get the steps.||Overall, I would say if you want a hotel where you can walk to and from campus/University Ave, and the others are booked, this one fits the bill but just lower your expectactions, epsecially on the surrounding area. Highlight - great bagel place next door, Chipotle and Coldstone across the street, Dirtbags is within walking, super close to Greek row and the stadium.

Loud traffic, street racing, and ambulance sirens blaring all night.
Hotel is at a major intersection with no soundproofing. There are lots of people street racing at night, especially on the weekends. There is a hospital nearby, and the emergency vehicles seem to need to blast their sirens constantly regardless of traffic conditions or time of day. I got just as much sleep in my room as I would have if I were in the middle of the intersection.
The rooms are dark, dated, and in general disrepair. When my room was serviced, I was left short some towels. Although the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

This was a perfect hotel within walking distance to the Basketball game. The lobby was very nice and the rooms were clean. Would stay again. Picture of our view from the bed.

We stayed at Aloft last weekend and was very disappointed with this hotel
The hallways and room are dark and drab!
I had to use my cell phone flashlight to use the bathroom at night. No exhaust fan and very minimal decor. We both smacked our shins on the corners of the platform bed!
No dining area except expensive snacks.
Maybe the dog bones were free?
The front checkin is a large great room - youโ€™re standing next to tables when checking in - snack bar, cocktail bar and round reception all together!
The front of hotel doesnโ€™t have sufficient parking to check in. We had to park on side then do underground parking.
The only positive was it was walking distance to see a UA basketball game and eat fast food.
Do not recommend!

Reserve two rooms for November 7. Rooms were already paid for, but had to put a card on file for a dog deposit. After checking out, the rooms were charged again to the card we put on file. These charges caused overdrafting on my bank account. Charges were reversed, but no compensation for the overdraft charges or the mistake. The hotel told us to talk to our bank. I would not recommend going there because they feel itโ€™s OK to Fraudulently charge An account without authorization.

The tap water came out gray (see image) from the faucet and shower. Maintenance was sent to my room, ran the water for multiple minutes, and agreed I could not drink nor shower in the room. Hotel refused to change my room as they anticipated selling out that night and "we can provide bottled water- you're only here for two more days". When asked, they would not help me find an alternate hotel due to a technicality in the policy saying they didn't have to do so (and they put this in writing).

Marriott corporate found me an alternate hotel at the same rate and was appalled at both the conditions ALOFT deemed acceptable and the premise's management's unwillingness to help a customer. Utmost respect for the chain, will be avoiding this facility and recommend anyone who values potable tap water do the same.

No housekeeping. Gotta call for clean towels. Meanwhile dirty towels must remain in the room for some reason? Trash is not picked up.
Staff is really nice but had to give this place a 1 star bc there is no housekeeping.

No dressers. Terrible WiFi. No sink space. No closets. Place is really dirty. Trash in elevators. You have to pay for parking in this absolute run down hotel.

Came here to visit UOfA family weekend. Prices were insanely high especially for this level Of service. This should not be associated w Marriott.

So disappointing.

We wonโ€™t be staying again.
