Our stay at Aloft Columbus - University District on Olentangy River Drive was absolutely fantastic! The accommodations were modern, stylish, and comfortable, making for a perfect getaway for an NHL game.||One of the highlights was the beautiful patio, offering a great space to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. And a warm fire. The bar was a standout experience, thanks to Alex, the bartender, who went above and beyond to craft amazing drinks and provide top-notch service. His expertise and friendly personality truly elevated our evenings.||And the food? Simply outstanding, fresh, flavorful, and far beyond typical hotel fare. Great pizza and wings. ||If you’re visiting Ohio State University or the Columbus area, this is the place to stay. Great service, fantastic drinks, and an unbeatable atmosphere.||Great pool too.

Certainly won’t return but wasn’t the worst ever. Checked in fine and staff was kind. $9 for a pack of gummy bears and $5 for a kind bar was steep but not the issue.

Shower fixtures all loose had to hold the handle to the wall and turn to prevent it from falling off, room I checked into had dirty sheets had to be changed. The little sofa in room is less comfortable than the floor itself. The only real gem about the place is that it has a nice little social area in the lobby for games.

This is a very nice hotel but a little different from what I expected. The room is very nice but hit my personal pet peeve of not having any place to put my shampoo or soap in the shower. They supply shampoo, conditioner, and body wash but I prefer my own brands and bar soap.

The rooms are nice with comfortable beds. The walls and ceilings/floors are paper thin so be aware of that. You will hear every foot step, sneeze, and toilet flush. As a frequent business traveler I travel with ear plugs and I definitely needed them. My room had luke warm water at best and that seems to be a common issue with this hotel based on other reviews. Overall, not the worst hotel I've stayed in but definitely not the best either.

We stayed while my husband was receiving radiation treatments at The James cancer hospital and we did not like it. It's all about personal preference and it was just too modern and impersonal for us. We like comfort and the furniture was not comfortable and the beds were subpar. Although it is very updated and nice, we prefer comfort over technology. But it was very close to the hospital.

We were in Columbus for a Beartooth concert and while we were trying to leave our flight kept getting delayed. We didn’t want to show up to the airport too early so we decided to go to the WXYZ bar to pass the time and pregame a little. Kristen and Carly were absolutely amazing and took care of us while we were refreshing the flight page to see how much longer we’d be able to hang out with them. Those two definitely made our stay here complete. The rooms were clean and spacious as well as warm to help us cope with the Ohio winter. 1000/10 totally recommend this hotel especially if you’re not from the area you’ll feel welcomed.

Nice hotel clean and beautiful. But horrible experience. Hot water hardly got hot until 11 something at night. Had no internet most of the Time here. No tv bc of the internet not working in only our room. Phone in the room doesn’t work. And then the free breakfast is only for 2 items. How is 2 items supposed to feed 6 people. The breakfast should cover everyone in the room just like anywhere else. 100% will not come back here.

Honestly, the only good thing about this hotel was the location. I always stay at Marriott chain hotels because I know that they will be clean and usually the staff is kind But not at this hotel. Right from the start at check-in, the man at the front desk, overcharged us for our room and just kept telling us that it wasn’t his fault And that he did nothing wrong. The next morning, we went to check out And spoke to the manager about his mistake when he checked us in and she told us that there was nothing anyone could do about $369 charge As well as nobody knew where the charge came from. Every single person I spoke to had no clue where the charge came from, which is ridiculous. I spoke with a customer service agent for Marriott Bonvoy, and she informed me to reach out to the hotel for compensation. Once I got the hotel on the line, they told me that there was nothing that they could do and were not able to offer any kind of compensation at this time. No one seems to care that this happened. This has been the worst experience I have ever had at any Marriott chain hotel. I’m sure other aloft locations are OK but this one will overcharge you, hold your money hostage, and just be like ‘oopsie it wasn’t my fault.’ Terrible customer service.
