It was a great experience to join this remote place, accessible by waterplane only. First of all I would like to thank Tony, the owner/manager of this lodge for his excellent support , prior and also during my stay , as I decided to extend my visit little bit due to the superior fishing conditions. Changing flight schedules is challenging with limited internet / mobil phone access .. || It was my first visit at Alagnak Lodge and it was impressing how Tony and his team is keeping this Lodge running, which is operating during the Season only. Facilities of this lodge are more you can expect in the Wilderness of North-West Alaska , simple and clean rooms , bath rooms to take hot showers and the lunchroom were the two chefs Daniel and Barry surprised with a wide variety of meals ( excellent job !) The fishing was outstanding and by far more than I expected. Glenn, my Guide during the 8 days on the lodge made a great job and was supportive whatever fish was our target. Also the other guides , Chad,Tammy,Jamie,John guided the other guest to plenty of fish during this week . Overall , a great fishing spot with a familiar atmosphere at the lodge and stunning wildlife arround. I can deeply recommend this place.

i booked with Tony in the winter of 2019 for 2020. i lost my wife due to cancer in April 2020, Tony refunded ALL of my down payment. i then booked in the early spring 2021, 3 of us went July 25 thru July 30. ther was much good and much disappointment.The hospitality staff were awesome, competent and friendly , cooks great , Raquel was great in housekeeping. i told Tony i wanted to fish for Sockeyes because that was the only salmon left for me to catch. When we arrived i was told the sockeyes were gone, upstream and spawned out 2 weeks ago.i was very disappointed to hear this. Then we were told the silvers were on there way any time, there were 2 caught the entire week, that included all fishermen/women. Then we were told we were fishing for Chums, i caught 1 all week, the entire crew of about 8 caught less than 20 all week. The Guides were friendly and nice all the way , but very inexperienced. Every guide was a first year guid, mine was 22 YO. They were not on the same page and dis agreed on things, the fishing was beyond awful. Being in the great land was special but i was extremely disappointed.this was my 4th fishing trip to AK , the other 3 i caught a ton of fish. i felt bad for the 2 guys with me, it was their first trip and they did not bring home a single fish. I will seek more experienced guides in the future, after all we spent over 15 k the 3 of us

If your up in they air what lodge you want to book well your search has ended and you need to stay here! This lodge is a great time and has an awesome staff. The fishing sessions are perfectly tuned in and guaranteed your guides will get you on the fish. I have never bin anywhere where I am hooking into fish consistently for the 4-5 hour slot of fishing. I actually came back to the lodge soar from catching so many big fish!(and I fish a lot) The guides have the water dialed and and can read it so well it’s mind blowing. Plenty of wildlife and nature to keep you busy between fishing holes. If you can request a guide I highly recommend Glen or Chad. But don’t get me wrong all of the guides onsite are great and will get you on the fish no matter who you end up with. The cook and food prep staff is awesome and make you feel spoiled every time you return with either snacks or the very beautiful wonderful presentation of the food the have prepared for lunch and dinner. The lodge is comfortable and has great beds to return to wether it’s for a mid day nap or night time you will get plenty of comfortable rest. They have dialed in the perfect Alaskan experience of not too much and not to little very professional and courteous. They strive to create memories and an experience that youl have with you for a life time. You definitely will want to come back to this lodge time and time again !! Great service , great food, great guides , onsite laundry if needed . I highly recommend this lodge and guarantee you want regret a moment during your stay!

This was my third trip to the Alagnak Lodge. We were lucky this year because Tony, the owner was there for the season and I personally got to see the time, effort and detail Tony put into everything we experienced at the lodge. Just to make sure any angler knows that in two days... my partner Steve Porchet and I caught 132 pounds of Silver Salmon between us. I have to give credit where credit is due but the first night on the river in two hours time my buddy Steve had 32 fish... "in the boat", to my three. They weren't all silvers but pinks and a few chums. That's 32 fish ... in the boat. We kept the silvers and tossed the others back to head up river. ||||We limited out everyday and looked forward to a great lunch and excellent dinner before we went back out for the evening. Barry and Daniel are incredible chefs and everything was homemade, from scratch by chefs that are culinary trained. You will not go hungry at the Alagnak Lodge.||||We met some amazing people on our trip, just as I have the previous two times I've gone. ||||If you are looking to fish in a place that is completely wild, pristine and untouched by the world we come from then you need to book this trip NOW. Be sure to bring your video camera because the wild life will take your breath away. Bear, moose, eagles, wolves, beavers, foxes... they are everywhere and that's just on the short walk from he lodge to the dock. Out on the water anything can and will happen to be ready... and just keep your head on a swivel.||||Thanks to our guide Jamie, a 20 year old from Boston MA whose's passion to fish is greater than my need to breath. All of the guides were great and by the end of the five days we were all family.||||Thanks again Tony. Having you with us this year made it the best experience ever for me. We will see you again.

My trip to the Alagnak Lodge was originally planned for the summer of 2020. Due to the pandemic, it was then postponed to the summer of 2021. However, because of personal circumstances, I had to cancel my trip altogether for 2021. Tony Behm, the owner, was very gracious and understanding of my situation. He gave me a full refund without even deducting for any type of fee. I really appreciate this. Because of such excellent customer service, I will only be booking my trip with the Alagnak Lodge when the time comes. Thanks for being a class act Tony. I look forward to seeing you when I am able to make it out there.

We were to be at Alagnak Lodge for several nights in early July 2020. Due to the COVID situation, the lodge was closed for the season and we unfortunately were not able to make it there. Tony (the owner) communicated well as the situation unfolded and I very much respect his decision to close for the season due to concerns of the native population and concerns for the safety of staff and guests in this remote location. We were offered the opportunity to reschedule for 2021 or 2022 but ultimately that didn't work for our family. After letting Tony know we could not make a future trip, he prompt refunded our deposits. He was a pleasure to deal with under difficult circumstances for Alaska businesses.

Awesome experience! I highly recommend this lodge to anyone that is an avid fisherman. I have never bin anywhere I can catch constant fish for four to five hours and have a blast the whole time. Catch on the fly or on the jig this lodge gets you into the fish guaranteed. The whole staff is great and fun to hang out with and they make sure to create memories for a life time. The food is wonderful and has an awesome presentation that makes you feel spoiled at each meal . They have plenty of guides there for bigger groups or solo trips. Highly recommend glen or Chad if you can request or if there available. Great lodging and comfortable. They strive to give you a true Alaskan fishing experience and they nail it!!! It is worth every penny to this lodge and if your torn between any other picks choose this lodge and I guarantee you’ll be happy with the entire experience with this team !!!!

Visited in July of 2018. My wife and I had a great time. No surprises and everything was as presented and accurate in regard to the on site owner as well as the staff and accommodations. Tony the owner is very responsive and has all the details nailed. The fishing along with the site seeing and wildlife viewing was first class. Very well thought out provision for non fishing spouses which after extensive research appears to be unique. Will return for sure and the Alagnak Lodge has my unreserved recommendation.
