Found this while driving Route 66 the service was delightful, we were welcomed and served our food fast. I recommend stopping in if you are dying for authenticity and a hearty meal.

1) A piece of hair was found in one of the dishes we ordered.

2) I did not like the fish tacos at all, the fish was bland and not seasoned well, and the rest of the toppings/condiments did not make the tacos much better. Additionally, the way my order was packed to-go (we ordered takeout) essentially destroyed the tacos and made them very difficult to eat, as all the tortillas got mashed together and were difficult to pick up.

3) They accidentally packed someone else’s half-eaten quesadilla leftovers into our to-go order. While I normally would be fine with free food, this seemed pretty unsanitary…

4) For a relatively empty restaurant, the service was slow. My friend went to Wal-Mart and back while we waited ~25 minutes for our food.

5) They charge $4 extra for additional chips and salsa. Not really a negative since it didn’t affect us, but just something that surprised me since I’ve never really seen that policy in Texas.

We came to Flagstaff to attend the International Double Reed Association Conference where our brother-in-law was performing. After Thursday’s performance, our group had dinner at Agave Restaurant. The margaritas were delicious (I had the Lollipop Margarita.), the food was great and the waitress was friendly and efficient. We would recommend this restaurant.

The place is so lovely. The food was amazing. Both chicken and beef plates were served. The only thing that irritated me is that you have to pay extra for everything even for salsa and chips. I have never seen that in any Mexican restaurant. I think the restaurant should change the policy. Also, some drinks should be free refills.. the decorations are really good. The service was amazing. The waitress was so nice to us especially we had some guy who never tried any Mexican food. I’ll definitely go back.

Our server was great! But unfortunately the food was disappointing and items scaled back to save them money. They offer 1 complimentary basket of chips and 1 salsa, which normally would be fine, but the salsa came in a little cup with 3-4 tablespoons in it. If you want more, it is $2 for another tiny cup. Chips were not made in-house and were not fresh. We ordered a cheese crisp (for about same price elsewhere in town), but it was a small (maybe 8”?) tortilla making the slice size almost comical (see pic with fork). I ordered a shredded beef chimichanga extra crispy, and it came out as if it hadn’t been fried at all. But the meat inside was flavorful and very tender. The meat was so wet though, it made the tortilla soggy like uncooked pizza dough. The service was excellent though.

We took our son for his 27th birthday. First time there, but not the last. Food was amazing, price was on point. Kiersten was the best. She was very friendly, keep our drinks full, and checked on us constantly. She made the night even more special. Love the vibe of the restaurant, and it's much bigger than you would think from the outside.

Came to Flagstaff for the snow, leaving with a very happy tummy. Agave was delicious and the service was fantastic. Jaiden was our server for food and the bartender (I forgot to get her name was awesome as well. Prices were great…food was better than I can get in the valley (surprise) I will come back even when it’s not the anniversary…congrats on 10 years. Here is to at least 100 more!!!
