If you are a hiker looking for a shower, laundry, hot breakfast, and comfy bed, look no further ... this is your place! Lucky & his team are welcoming, knowledgeable,
and go above and beyond for every guest. There's also a fire pit, cold soak, snacks for sale, slackpacking options and cabins available. Convenient store and town restaurant .4 miles up the road. Can't say enough great things about Above the Clouds.

Spent a few days here while section hiking. Host was great, made me breakfast early as I would leave before the regularly scheduled time. Amenities were good, had snacks and drinks for purchase. Price was great for 3 nights. Would recommend.

Above the Clouds Hostel is great. Lucky and his crew were extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this Hostel if you need a cozy place to stay while hiking the Appalachian Trail.

This is a really cozy fun place to stay! The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the area and very helpful finding things. They have a lot of experience with the area too and can lead you in the right direction and give any advice you need. Interior atmosphere is so cool in many ways too. There is food and drinks available on site, clean showers and restrooms, good parking, and seems like always friendly other visitors to have fun with!

Lifesaver shuttle and stay after a cold and rainy hike on the BMT. Hostel was warm and cozy, hot shower, laundry with loaner clothes, and amazing breakfast. Absolutely helped us finish our hike. Lucky is a great cook and fantastic host! Will stay again next year on our AT Thru hike.

Lucky runs a top notch operation. Comfortable accommodations but, even moreso, a welcoming and thoughtful atmosphere for hikers of all stripes. An experience unlike any I’ve previously encountered. A real gem!

I had the best time, exactly the place I needed after hiking a little too far. The cold soak tub really helped. I can’t wait to go back. Bounce and Thor were so helpful and answered all my dumb questions. Highly recommended.
