Would have been 5 star if had inside seating. Just had a BBQ as diet limits what I can have. BBQ sandwich was loaded and melt in your mouth tender. Sauce was really good but could tell I didn't need the sweetness. Also didn't have diet drink but did have water. Staff super and friendly. Talked to a customer and he said ribs were really good. That will be next.

This is a wonderful, family owned and operated business. The only seating is outside, but you can call ahead for takeout on rainy days. In Alabama, BBQ joints are generally characterized by their signature sauce. If you enjoy a sweet, sticky, and moderately spicy sauce, you will LOVE this place.

We tried tje pull pork and the rib sandwich it was delicious. A few weeks later I needed a meat for an event for family and friends I thought of their pulled pork and ordered a few pounds.

- How delicious the pulled pork was was one of the trending topics of conversation. Everyone wanted to know where it came from stating that it was" tender and season to perfection"

We received outstanding service from the owner and staff. They were friendly, professional and prompt.

Went to A and J for the first time today. Highly recommend! Awesome food, great service, and good folks working. I had the rib plate with baked beans and slaw and now I want to try everything else they make.

It’s a good thing I’m mainly in Brent in the early part of the week, or I’d be packing on some pounds! Get out there and support your local businesses/restaurants!

I've been here twice on the way to go camping at Payne Lake. Delicious pulled pork sandwich with slaw. (of course with slaw) and the nicest family owned place you could ask for. Will definitely stop here every chance I get!

I have been waiting to try their bbq because of all the good reviews, but I was extremely disappointed. I got 12 wings & 1/2 slab of ribs. I spent $40 and was not able to chew the ribs. They were tough as a boot. The wings had been boiled and slapped on the grill for color and the color was very pale. I really wanted it to be good, but I will not go back.

We stopped on a whim after a ballgame and we are thankful we did. This BBQ is AMAZING! The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. We will make trips to Brent just for this food. When you are in the area, give them a try. You won’t regret it!
