Just thinking about returning to this hotel makes me shudder. It was the most horrifying night of my life.

When we arrived, there was a sign at the reception saying, “Back in 10 minutes” — but there, 10 minutes means over 2 hours! We tried calling the receptionist, but she hung up on us. So, we waited for more than two hours just to check in. When she finally returned, reeking of marijuana, she scolded us and claimed she had only been gone for 5 minutes. We felt like we were in a bad movie.

The room we received only confirmed our worst fears about this dump. The toilet was still filled with remnants from the previous guest, a towel lay crumpled on the floor, hair was scattered all over the bathroom, and the room reeked of cigarette smoke. The door wouldn’t close properly, the air conditioning smelled like rotten eggs, and the bed had stains — and frankly, I don’t want to imagine what kind of stains they were.

Despite the empty parking lot, the hotel claimed there were no other rooms available. We ultimately decided to sleep in our car.

I would rather be homeless than spend another night in that filthy excuse for a hotel — even if the stay were free. A place like this should be torn down.

Hotel is a dump. AC in the room doesn’t work and front desk worker tells me it is because they had an unusually warm day on 2/2/25. Total BS. I also had issues with getting into the room due to the door handle being very lose but again an excuse from the front desk gal saying they are all like that. I asked if maintenance could look at the issue but she didn’t know if the maintenance worker was there or coming o to work. She was a down right rude to me and if she thinks this hotel is top notch then I would hate to see the place she calls home.

At first I thought it was going to be great. It was late. The office was nice and clean. We found this place online and my fiancé paid over the phone. We did not realize that we paid a service an extra $150 for the room. We really could have used that money for food. Then they said that pets were welcome. They are, but we had to pay an extra $70 for Thunder for one week. I decided to scout out Motels before paying another week at the reduced price of course. I found a very nice place even $25 cheaper and serves breakfast every morning! And the rooms were very spacious with table, 2 chairs, one a lounge chair. King size bed! This put the Budgetel to shame. The queen beds there had faux leather, padded headboards and it was peeling off all over. Holes everywhere because of it. I would be able to fix that real easy with some material and superglue or whatever and help the room appeal 10 fold. Ask for a north facing room because the afternoon sun gets too hot. The a/c was forced what? Took forever to cool the room in the afternoon and we were not leaving going to work like the field workers staying there. They would not change the room because there was no mechanical issue because they just replaced the a/c motor. I said how about the filter? Maintenance never came. Some clerks were nice but some acted put out for having to do something for us. The pleasant looking laundry room stuck one night like dirty diapers. I told the clerk and she said she would check it out. I went back and 45 minutes later and it still stunk and new clerk on. Took a shower and it smelled just like the laundry room smell. Where is the water coming from for the shower and the laundry room? Thinking back, there was an above ground tank out near the pool area. I did use the barbecue outside the pool and cooked a turkey for Christmas! New to the State. The beds were comfortable. Pet friendly. Family dollar across street sells cigarettes for like $5.45? Fast food and convenience market next door.

We booked 10 nights at this hotel through Priceline, when we got there it was a bit late, they gave us a room that was in bad shape and needed maintenance. My wife went back to the front desk right away and asked for a different room. They said no and try in the AM. We were not happy, then when we contacted front desk again in AM they said there are other rooms available but stay in room and we will fix issues,one of them was a light switch just hanging by wires not secured and no lamp shades, ceiling in front of bathroom dropping with trim hanging by a couple of nails all safety issues we think. Contacted Priceline and they told us to check out and we would get a refund
BUT then after checking out and going to different hotel we were sent an email from someone else at Priceline saying no refunds policy at Budgetel inn. We only stayed there one night and the walk in rate is the same as what we paid for 10 days. Very poor customer service so far from both Priceline and Budgetel. We just want the other 9 days refunded as promised by Priceline. Please don’t ruin our vacation.

Positive: "" Negative: The room I stayed in smelled like cigarettes and it was supposedly a non smoking room. The property damaged before I even went in; cabinets handle was missing. Rolling chair was beat up and torn on arm rests. Shower handle had hole. Old cheap soap bar

Positive: Price Negative: They never had any coffee. I stayed 5 nights. Outside garbage cans were stuffed full for the first 4 days.

It was ok. It's a budget motel.
I was given a non-smoking room, but I could smelled the cigarettes. They quickly gave me another room. After an hour or so, I could still smell (albeit faint) it in this room too. Sadly for me I have a strong sense of smell.
PEOPLE, DONT SMOKE IN THE ROOMS OR SMOKE OUTSIDE THE ROOMS WITH THE DOOR OPEN. THE SMOKE WILL TRAVEL INSIDE.

The front desk clerk Bridgette is horrible , Priceline called the hotel to accommodate us BUT SHE JUST REFUSED. We were supposed to be in a 2 bedroom. I told them that water heater is not working, Bridgette told us that they are working on it and nothing is done , their front desk Bridgette is just horrible .
