I like the place. My wife, not so much. They make their own chips and salsa. No store bought stuff here. Prices are reasonable and service was excellent. We shall return!

I asked what should I order, and after the waitress said "saddled" I was lost. She was patient and explained to this Ohio northerner about how they top a burrito in chili.
Coming from where we put chili on speghetti, I was hooked. The burrito was amazing(pork and cabbage pictured) and it was so big I could not finish the whole thing. So I ate it for lunch the next day(even better?)
I plan on going back and trying the other great recommendations the waitress made, as there was so many.

I'm sorry but every dish we got was way below par. We're from LA and were expecting a descent Mexican dinner. Far from it. 🥺
My daughter ordered a green enchiladas plate. Very soupy, sloppy, bland and no flavor. My wife ordered the beef soup and was corrected by the waitress saying it's "sopa de res" 🤷🏻‍♂️ as if she didn't know what we were talking about lol. That was the only dish that I'd give a 2 star. Still no flavor. Chips and salsa were descent.
My mom ordered a machaca tostada the meat was so dry and tasted old. I ordered an asada taco and fish tacos. Meat and fish were very dry and the veggies tasted old.
Overall not a pleasant experience. Food Ingredients weren't fresh im not sure how or why the cooks would serve this. No pride in the dishes in flavor or presentation whatsoever. We found a much better hole in the wall next to our hotel that actually served good quality Ingredients. Not sure if it was just a bad night for the cooks if not I really hope you correct the problem. We saw descent reviews prior and were looking forward to a nice dinner but based on that night we won't be returning to El Charro.

The food was amazing. There were 3 of us and we were seated in less than 20 minutes. The fajitas were amazing especially with the flour tortilla. The tortilla is literally as big ad a large pizza. My wife had the caldo soup and the flavor was amazing. Can’t brag enough about the food or the service. M

Carne Asada Burrito Enchilada Style was excellent! My new favorite dish.
The salsa is incredible as well.. I'm glad they sell it to take home..
