For a motel, this place was exceptionally clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Once the room warmed up, it stayed warm throughout the night, so we didn’t need to keep the heater on all night. The staff was very friendly, and we would definitely stay here again.

If you want a fantastic Route 66 experience this is a must stay place. Clean, comfortable room with no problems. I read a number of reviews about the train noise and it did not bother us and in fact adds to the ambiance. They advertise as a stay for adventurers, but not in a bad way, and they did not disappoint.
If you want a cookie-cutter hotel with bland walls with each room the same, a pool, free breakfast, and the drone of trucks from the interstate, this is not your place. But if wish to relive a memory or experience what Route 66 travel was during the hey day of The Mother Road, you have to check it out.

We booked a room online and arrived there 11/1/24. It is a very old motel and within a few minutes we knew we made a mistake, as soon as a train went wizzing by blowing its horn within a 150 ft of the motel. Problem one was the trains continued blowing their horns all through the night. Problem two was the motel played music on loud speakers from roughly 5:30 pm until at least 8 pm. The third problem was the heater was very loud and mounted on the wall three feet above my head. Problem four there was no hot water. The good things were it was very clean and had a large comfortable bed. Other than that it was not worth $72. Stay away

This is a good budget option in town, though it’s a bit dated. We stayed in the James Dean room and even watched Rebel Without a Cause during our visit. The parking lot is small and a bit tricky to navigate, especially with a small truck. Mike at the front desk was very welcoming—he showed us to our room, answered all our questions, and provided the WiFi password along with access to a complimentary Hulu account. The shower had hot water, but since it's an older building, there's no vent, so it can get pretty steamy. The mattress was comfortable, and overall, we’d stay here again if visiting the Holbrook area. It was a convenient spot for exploring Petrified Forest National Park.

Thank you for hospitality in both motels in NM and Arizona. Not sure why but I will remember these two motels. Maybe because in the morning without air condition it was cold in the room, or maybe because you have good heart and I was warm . I've made it! 4396km. I like to root for the underdog and I truly hope the owners get their stuff together. This is a sweet little property with a lot of potential. ||The price point was reasonable and the location is ideal for visiting Petrified Forest. The room surfaces were adequately clean and the bathroom was clean. The sheets were fresh and we slept very well. ||The trains didn’t bother us. What did was just the lack of utility in the room. It’s a pretty small space. It would be great to have hooks on the walls and some shelves so guests can get their belongings off the floor. Also first impressions are important. I’ve never seen more dirty dusty areas outside the guest room doors. Of course the dirt and dust tracks right into the guest rooms. ||I wish the owners and staff the best. Get it together.

Wonderful spot! Clean room, fun Route 66-themed decor, service was top notch. Had a couple of specific requests and they went out of their way to accommodate us.

The motel’s proximity to the train tracks means you’ll hear loud horns throughout the night, which can be quite disruptive. While I appreciated the Route 66 decor and theme, the motel is rather outdated and didn’t quite match the photos on Expedia. It had a certain charm, but I wish I had known about the noise in advance. Additionally, there was no one on-site to provide ear plugs, despite what other reviews mentioned when we checked in.
