We stayed at this motel October 12. Upon arrival, the young girl at the counter was very pleasant to deal with. As we made our way up the stairs, we could smell mold and then a heavy carpet fresh or something smell. When we got in our room, we could smell mold as well as whatever they covered up with. We turned on the AC that made it worse for a couple of minutes then it seem to get better once the room cooled off. We woke up the next morning with sore throats. My wife’s sore throat seem to go away after about three days however, it’s now been two weeks and I’ve still got a cough. I have lost two weeks of work due to being sick from mold. We contacted corporate and told them the problem and they were very accommodating. However, looking back at the reviews. This has been going on for about six years. Corporate really needs to step in and do something about this franchisee. I think best thing would be for the place to be torn down and rebuilt, and hold the franchisee accountable for his wrong doings or even pull his franchise and sell it to someone else. From now on, we will read a years worth of reviews before we stay at any other hotels if you were traveling through Fort Payne, Alabama anytime soon, do not stay at this comfort inn, unless you want to be sick from mold for a week or better.

The pool is really nice and has seat benches in it. The front desk lady was very informative and friendly. The breakfast is just a regular complimentary one like everywhere else. Our room did smell of cigarettes but didn't bother us to much. I was so excited to see they had a functioning pool that didn't matter to me. A lot of other hotels pools were let go that we stayed at.

We survived!! This place was disgusting! The only thing positive to say about the Quality Inn was the friendly staff. But other than that the rooms smelled like straight up mold and bugs all in the room. Me and my husband slept on top of all the sheets. This place should be condemned. That's all I will say! Good luck whoever stays in room 212!

I stayed here May 23-25, 2024, Room 116, on the first floor, and LOVED IT, because: 1) The check-in person was enthusiastic and friendly, 2) The hotel is very quiet - more than a mile from the interstate and no road noise at all, PLUS had a quiet a/c unit, 3) the room was clean and comfortable, and 4) It was a convenient location.

I stayed in five other hotels on this trip which cost 1.5x to 3x as much per night, including three brand new hotels from top-brands, and those OTHER places had loud a/c units or I heard noise from other rooms, making this where I had the BEST sleep out of 5 top hotels. I was at a family event, and my cousin stayed near the highway one exit south, and said he heard a lot of road noise. This is the best place around.

Ignore the low-ratings. If you read the owner responses, the reviewers were in the wrong.

Nice place but room smelled like mold bout knock you down awful. Put clorox wipe over ac vent didn't help. Room was overall clean. Hot water but no pressure. Towels are thin. Sheets are nice. Large breakfast area. Nice outdoor pool. Small parking area can park small trk trailer on far side by trash can if needed. Nearby food. Train comes thru multiple times but overall quiet area

The service at this hotel is absolutely terrible. The lady at the front desk knew nothing other than how to say no to anything that was asked for. I got a king room for me my husband and my toddler son upon arriving to the room I noticed there was only 2 towels so I asked if I could get a few extra towels and wash cloths since there is 3 of us I was told no that no extra towels are aloud. When asked why the front desk clerk just said because it’s our rule the king rooms only get 2 towels. Then around bed time I realized I had forgotten to grab my son’s blanket so I asked if I could have an extra blanket for him and again was told no. I am so confused because I have never had any issues getting extra towels or blankets any other place. I am not from around here but have family here that I rositas a couple times a year and normally when we come I book a room at the super 8 which is always amazing. My husband booked the room this time and booked this one because it was cheaper I will pay the extra $20 to have a clean room friendly staff and fresh towels I will not be staying here again.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Or atleast in room (213) We drove in from south Alabama so we could work the June jam Friday night we got there around 8:30/9 and had to grab a bite to eat so we could get up earlier for work came back after grabbing a bite to eat and brought our stuff up and checked for bed bugs in the mattress and didn’t see anything so we cut the lites off and went to sleep it was late had no lights on so obvisouly we wouldn’t be able to see ROACHES in the dark. Woke up early Saturday morning left our stuff in the room went and worked and got off around 11:30/12 Saturday night got to the hotel went to eat dinner and had a baby ROACH crawling on my leg I obvisouly thought I was crazy and figured maybe it was a spider or something from walking in outside. So I get a shower and everything and get crawled into bed and about 30 mins into us laying in bed ANOTHER baby roach comes crawling from being the night stand onto the alarm clock I panicked cause here’s the second one we seen so we killed it and started checking everything and ANOTHER ROACH crawls from behind the night stand we call the desk at this point so they know we aren’t crazy and he asked if he could come check at this point there was one crawling all around the night stand and he comes up there and he seen the one crawling and says “ohhh a small one” I DO NOT CARE IF YOU NEEDED A MICROSCOPE and he just smooshes it with his finger and said “I’ll leave a note” and walks out , here it is 2:30 in the morning we have worked 12 plus hours and we were so tired we didn’t know were else to go especially after spending 400+ for two nights. We go to check out this morning and the girl at the desk said we can get a 20% discount like are you kidding me. How disturbing there is no way in hell I will ever stay here again. The lack of care for the fact that baby roaches were crawling from behind the night stand is just unacceptable and we will be disputing the charges and contacting corporate with the pictures of the baby roaches I have. Thanks for nothing. (Adding pictures of them below may have to zoom in)
