There was cockroaches in my room. I was put in room 205. At the time, it was 2am, I already had trouble getting a rental car after my flight and I sat down in the room. My girlfriend then came from the bathroom extremely disturbed because there was bugs. Upon further inspection, there was larvae like bugs all around the walls of the room and on the beds. There was also a cockroach behind a picture frame that peaked at each of us on different occasions. The mirror was crooked. And there was a trail of rose petals in the hallway. When I told the front desk he said “maybe we’ll have to fumigate”…. Maybe I immediately left and found a new hotel. I would’ve drove around Phoenix for 10 hrs before I slept at this comfort inn
I was new to Phoenix that night, I would highly recommend not staying on the south side of town and rather finding a hotel on the north side of town

When attempting to get my money refunded, I was told management refused to refund. Hopefully they are using the funds they stole from me after failure to provide service to invest in some fumigation to their hotel rooms

This hotel needs to be managed better and appliances updated. The hotel common areas have an old musty smell. The AC in the room would not make the room cold despite setting it at a very cold setting. Then it started making a loud noise suddenly. When I told the front desk, they said maintenance staff comes onsite whenever they want and are not regularly on site (they were not when I needed AC help). So I had to move rooms. The microwaves have turntables but they don't turn (in both rooms). At least the first morning, coffee machine in the breakfast room was broken.

I arrived very early and before my check in time. DJ, the person at the front desk, offered me coffee and access to the WiFi while I waited for my room to be readied. While checking in DJ was very kind and engaging.

I gave the location 4 stars because the freeway is right there. Bad for noise but excellent for getting back on the road to continue your journey.

Lobby seems "tired" and needs a refresh

Parking was great as the hotel was lightly booked while we were there.

Front desk staff, DJ, was very polite and professional, but did not acknowledge our Gold status.

Eastbound I-10 exit and westbound I-10 entrance are available at N 27th Ave.
Eastbound I-10 entrance and westbound I-10 exit are NOT available at N 27th Ave, so plan accordingly.

Bathtub is worn with minor damage

Valance above window has a thick layer of dust and needs vacuumed off, not dusted

Carpet seriously needs professionally shampooed as evidenced by black water coming from our feet in the bathtub. A deep cleaning of all walkable surfaces is needed.

There were two small blood spots on the comforter. I know that comforters are rarely cleaned. but due to the blood spots, this one is overdue for cleaning.

Unlike many other Comfort Inn rooms, the room's ac/heater was EXCELLENT.

Room's coffee pot and tv worked well, although there was no tv channel list in the room and the remote's channel list was not populated.

Shower water was hot with good water pressure

There was only one wash cloth for two of us to use

Room decor was fine

I've eaten breakfast at many Comfort Inn hotels. These are "average", however, this hotel's breakfast was below average. There was no yogurt or hard boiled eggs. There were two choices of cereal and limited bread, but no muffins. Apparently "COVID" is the weak reason for the poor breakfast options. The usual hot breakfast items of pre-cooked and reheated eggs and sausage was available. The juice machine provided orange juice and possibly cranberry, but the cranberry sign/label had fallen and barely visible within the machine.

Ice machine in hallway worked better than average

Trash can by the ice machine was filthy and needs a thorough wash.

Pool looked inviting and clean, but we did not use it.

Our one interaction with the housekeeper showed that she was very friendly and helpful

Clean, cold ac, decent bed. Can't ask for much more from a value hotel. Had to find a place to stay for work that was close to where I was heading. Comfort Inn was comfortable! Friendly front desk manager, accommodating and friendly. Close to freeway.

Unsure if the aforementioned "DJ" is the Owner/Manager, but the room was very clean and smelled good in a neutral way. Clean, but not noxious. The Gentleman is very attentive and nice. A value to stay here imo. Truly nice to encounter such a professional in a Budget hotel imo. Look forward to the highly rated breakfast.

My room feel like it was on the shoulder of the highway. All night long trucks speeding and gearing down. And don't ask to change the room. I did and the manager said sold out you can go.

They have Roaches…
Staff is very nice but other than that, not great. Far from the heart of downtown in a rather sketchy area. Breakfast was cold, they were out of nearly everything by 8:30.
