Had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful hotel while attending a business conference that had meetings and meals here as well. Staff was great, including bellhop services, housekeeping, restaurant, coffee shop, gift shop and room service. Bathroom didn’t have grab bars for the bathtub and the tub was on the small size. Water temp in the shower was really hard to normalize (too hot or too cold).

The Hyatt Regency Phoenix is the perfect blend of comfort, style, and top-notch service. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I had just checked into a little slice of luxury. The lobby is stunning, and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming—they genuinely seemed happy to be there and made sure I had everything I needed.

The room was spacious, spotless, and well-appointed. The bed? Absolute cloud status. After a long day of exploring Phoenix, it was the perfect place to crash. And let’s talk about the views—whether you’re looking out over the city skyline or the gorgeous mountains in the distance, it’s a showstopper.

I also have to give a shoutout to the dining options. Breakfast at Compass Arizona Grill was phenomenal (pro tip: try the pancakes—they’re next level). The rooftop revolving restaurant is such a unique experience and a great spot to wind down with a drink while taking in the panoramic views.

Location-wise, you can’t beat it. It’s right in the heart of downtown Phoenix, so whether you’re here for business, a concert, or just exploring, everything is within walking distance.

If you’re on the fence about staying here, just do it. The Hyatt Regency Phoenix has everything you need for a fantastic trip—comfort, convenience, and a team that knows how to make you feel right at home.

Great location. The rooms were nice but there were a few issues with amenities. Don't get me started with the elevators. The staff said it was because a lot of people were using them but when you're wait 15 minutes and never see one of the five seemed weird. Friends said they saw a few stuck open on their floor. Of six days there i had two mornings with no hot water. Room was super clean!! Service was top notch. The folks checking me in were just super full of help and friendliness. Over all a good stay and hoping the elevator was an anomaly. I'd go back.

I had the misfortune to stay at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Phoenix in early December. I found the hotel to be very uncomfortable and the staff to be completely incompetent. Some details are below, but there are many other big chain hotels near this one. Stay in one of those.

The problem starts at the elevator. The elevator chime on the first floor is hard to hear. Since there are elevators on two walls, it is hard to hear/see when an elevator has arrived. The walls on the floors with rooms are all dingy beige with no landmarks to orient you. This wouldn’t be a problem in many hotels, but the numbering system for the rooms doesn’t make much sense. Room 605 is next door to room 668, so it is hard to find your way. Why aren’t there a few decorative tiles on one side of the floor after you get off the elevator to give guests a landmark?

The rooms are even worse. There is basically no storage in the room. There is an area to hang clothes, but the luggage rack is underneath the hanging space. Since there isn’t any storage, the means when you are putting dirty clothes back into your suitcase, you have to move your hanging clothes. There is also no storage for your toiletries in or near the bathroom.

Finally, on the days when I was staying at this hotel, they shut down the water for routine maintenance. I was not told about this before I arrived or when I checked in, so I found myself unable to shower before heading to an early morning flight. The incompetent staff also couldn’t seem to figure out how e-mail works. I’m glad I demanded a hard copy of my bill when I checked out. They also don’t seem to have anyone to help with bags upon arrival or departure, if that is important for you.

Please stay elsewhere.

Good for attending the conference center. Had to call every day because the safe did not work. Elevators only work have the day. Nice place to eat downstairs.

I picked this hotel because I love Hyatt. It has class and quality. It has an open concept lobby and is very modern and beautiful. The bar is nice and has good food. There are lots of food options for breakfast. The room is very big. The bellman were very helpful is advising me where to walk. I went to the pool twice but did not swim. Overall, I was very pleased with this hotel.

Do yourself a favor and do not stay here.

We came with a group for a convention. I realize that can be stressful for the staff and there were multiple conversations happening which means there were lots of guests.

However I do still expect basic human interactions along with getting the rooms I paid for.

I approached the counter and was ignored by Shayla (from Austin TX)
I had a person with quadriplegia with us. So I asked if it were possible to check in early (this conversation took place at 3:55pm. So 5 min early)

Shayla rolled her eyes and asked for the name on the reservation.

We gave the organization and as we were about to say our name she cut me off and again asked for the name. I gave it. She didn't say anything to us and walked away. (She entered a room to the right of us. Along the back wall)

We stood there for about 5mins or more not knowing what was going on.

I assumed she went to go get permission to check us in early.

As we were about to ask a different person for help she returned.

She handed us an envelope. And said nothing.

I asked if we were going to be checked in and she said our key was in the envelope.

I asked what room we were in and she sternly replied that she printed off a room list.

She never communicated with us and even shorted us a room for the group.

Trust me, you want to stay somewhere else with a nicer staff

Had a wonderful experience. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The rooms were nice and clean. The food was good. We definitely will be back! Better than other Hyatt experiences that we have had in the past.
