We made our way to Hotel McCoy from New Mexico. Super easy to get to right off the highway and quite too. Check in was super easy, the staff were very welcoming and exceptional. During check in you get a token for a free local beer, which after we settled in came back to enjoy. The room had everything we needed. The front desk gave us plenty of options for food when we asked but we opted for Uber eats delivery which was super simple. Our room didn't have art but there's plenty to enjoy. The pool looked like fun but we didn't make time to hop in, although it is heated and saline instead of chlorine. Breakfast is oatmeal, toast, and pop tarts, coffee and locals teas. Altogether, a great experience and extraordinary value and would happily book again if I'm passing through. Everyone was delightful from beginning to end.

What an incredible jewel! We absolutely loved this place. So much attention to detail, the interior design is like walking into the coolest time warp. Wish we could have spent more time here honestly, but we were just needing a place to crash before a super early flight. It was an easy skip over to the airport from here. Staff was friendly, free drink tickets, comfy bed, heated pool, everything was clean…. It checks all the boxes. Highly recommend for a cool experience.

I loved this hotel for my 4 night stay. From the moment I checked in the staff was friendly, helpful and courteous, especially Paul. I mentioned I was really interested in one of the rooms with a cool mural and Paul set me up in the Cactus room. So awesome! The pool was great, love the local art and refreshments, oatmeal breakfast bar and gaming options in lobby. I felt like I was in the 70s with modern amenities. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and everything was very clean and well maintained. Not a neighborhood I’d walk around at night but felt extremely safe here as a solo female traveler. Great location to drive everywhere around Tucson. Would stay again!!

Rooms are small but the atmosphere of the property is hip and comforting. The oatmeal bar for breakfast is satisfying. Staff has always been very friendly and helpful, and I appreciate that they are reachable by text if anything is needed. Dog friendly policy is the best out of any hotel. I always stay here when I need an affordable but comfortable stay in Tucson. You also can’t beat the location for the price.

This is my favorite place to stay in the Tucson area, and really one of the nicest places ever. There is artwork and murals all around and the rooms have a nice retro decor and little outside table and chairs.

There is an oatmeal bar for breakfast with all the possible fixings and every Tuesday night a wonderful Irish folk ensemble with about fifteen musicians on traditional instruments. It’s in south Tucson and the bus is free and drops off at the front of the hotel, very convenient for going into town.

This hotel is so cute. The rooms are modern, but the buildings and setup are very nostalgic. The staff is great, and very friendly. I will definitely be staying here again the next time I'm in Tucson and recommended it to others

Booked 15 days here, I asked for towels and toilet paper to be dropped off when the cleaners were doing rounds the next day. Was sent a message back, saying to go up front and get it myself. I have the text response.
The cleaners were wonderful. I asked them the next morning, and they gave me new towels. I had already bought my own toilet paper.
The toilet stopped up and backed up twice, and the hotplate barely got warm and the air conditioner was not cold.
I was really looking forward to staying here, but in the end, was sadly disappointed.

Amazing Stay at Hotel McCoy – Best Place I’ve Stayed in a While!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel McCoy in Tucson, and it was hands down the best place I’ve stayed in a while! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed by the friendly staff and the laid-back, artistic vibe. The retro style of the hotel, combined with modern comforts, creates such a unique atmosphere—it’s unlike any other place I’ve experienced.

The rooms were impeccably clean, cozy, and filled with thoughtful touches that made my stay extra comfortable. The local artwork displayed throughout the hotel is a wonderful touch that gives you a true sense of Tucson’s creative spirit. I especially loved the complimentary local coffee in the morning, and their emphasis on supporting local businesses really sets them apart.

The outdoor spaces are perfect for relaxing, and the pool area is fantastic! Whether you’re lounging poolside or sitting around the fire pit, you can really unwind here.

Overall, I can’t recommend Hotel McCoy enough! If you’re looking for a place with character, comfort, and a welcoming vibe, this is it. I’ll definitely be returning next time I’m in Tucson!
