Pros:

1. A 1970s hotel, formerly downtrodden, that's been modernized at great expense
2. High quality bedding and towels
3. Excellent location for the gem show
4. Huge TV
5. High quality dual "rain" shower heads
6. Concrete floors kill noise from upper floors
7. Concrete walls kill noise from neighbors
8. New, new, new, everything new
9. Staff are super friendly
10. K-cup coffee maker in your room
11. Fridge in your room
12. New HVAC units in each room
13. Love the white and black Italian tile
14. A work desk in every room
15. Grab and go breakfast in the lobby
16. Washer & dryer for only $1.50 / load
17. Funky, cool vibe
18. It's a NON-SMOKING property.

Cons:

1. Rooms are "big enough" but not huge
2. No microwave in rooms, but available in laundry room
3. No clothing drawers for long-term stays because the huge TV was given priority.

Summary:

I will be back next year and will try to book the same room.

Advice:

Bring your own K-cups if you like dark coffee, and pick up some half-and-half if you dislike powdered non-dairy creamer.

Nice rooms, newer furnishings, and a fantastic shower area (waterfall shower, at least in my room).
So, why only 3 stars?
Well, it's not cheap (I paid over $200 per night, after taxes), and the location is not great. Right next to the I-10, and I mean *right* next to it, so the traffic noise never ends (at least not on that side of the hotel). Other than a nearby Waffle House, there is very little else within a safe walking distance, from the hotel. No iron or ironing board in room. Elevator does not work.
But the main reason I probably wouldn't stay here again is the *incessant* traffic noise, at all hours of the day, and night! It's too bad, because aside from that, this place has potential.

BRAND NEW HOTEL!!! A very thoughtfully designed place to stay with a super friendly staff. Rooms are VERY clean & well laid out. Bathrooms are clean, showers are tiled, vanities are quartz, and mirrors are well lit for getting ready. Beds are super comfy, so you'll get a great night of rest. Couldn't recommend this place more highly!

Charming Hotel with amazing mountain views. It offers outstanding service, very convenient and close to I10. Carmen was very friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms are clean and spacious with a focus on retro and comfort. Looking forward to my next stay

Decided to drop by this newly Renovated hotel & pleased to say I am not disappointed! Rooms are very nice staff is even better! Carmen was a lot of help when I arrived for my stay! 100% recommended. Will be staying here again. Thank you!!

Clean and fresh but, the elevator doesn't work. Rooms are super clean and NEW! Easy on and off the freeway.

The location is just awful. It would be more restful to sleep on the I-10. I left. The staff seemed nice and the rooms were fine.
