The hardest working staff in any Tucson area hotel as far as I can see! They have a lot of challenges in the location: great proximity to so many things, but, like any hotel near an urban hub, high crime/low safety is an issue, and the city government seems to do nothing about it imo. They have made smart choices in having a mostly enclosed property with only one driveway to come in and out, visible staff working to clean and maintain, making the restaurant ("Bumstead's") a great draw with good food and good hours and great staff so it's busy and therefore a deterrent to anything nefarious, and great rates. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the desk staff was just plain terrific! As long as the crew maintains these values and behaviors, I will recommend them to anyone I meet!

Over all it wasn't bad. It was clean the staff were nice and an hour before check out they called the room to verify we were checking out and not staying another night.

My only 2 complaints is the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable and the shower, it had very little water pressure and even though it was a walk in shower it couldn't fit 2 people. Even a tub shower combo can fit 2 people.

It's an okay place to stay. The rooms are nice. Appear to have been recently renovated. I had a room with two queens and one mattress was not very good at all. Luckily the other one was fine. I could hear someone pacing in the room above me. This went on for awhile but luckily i was tired enough for it not to matter. Good for the overnight stay that i needed.

Friendly staff. I like the layout of the place. The rooms are clean, everything works as it should, updated even. Most rooms you can park near your door. The area includes some homeless folks, but I was never bothered on either of my two stays. The second time, I traveled alone. Sharing this info at check-in gained me a room near the office, with even greater security. The layout of the buildings creates a natural boundary to the 'outside', which also allows for some lovely outside common areas, shaded and nicely tended. There's also a restaurant on site. The pool was pretty, but I just didn't have time. I found the location to be central to all my activities - shopping, eating out, hitting the trendy areas, the university, and traveling to the Oro Valley. I think you'll enjoy this hotel!

I wish we could give 0 stars. Actually complained to not only the hotel management but also corporate and got a nice big middle finger in both cases when we asked for a refund. We stayed on a Saturday night and it was beyond horrible. There was a huge, trashy, loud party at the pool, which was essentially private since entrances were blocked (although management denied it, of course) and food and trash and drinks thrown everywhere. Homeless people roaming the place and taking all the ice. Lots of cursing, shouting, generally dangerous, loud, and scary. We basically barricaded ourselves in our room (which was marginal as the AC didn't really do anything) and turned up the TV to drown out the extremely loud music. After dragging ourselves up late (no kidding, got very little sleep), we found out the hotel had canceled the breakfast early. So, we got a little prison for a few hours, with no amenities available to use unless you wanted to risk your life. Management uncaring and rude, despite other guests complaining also. Never returned our calls and didn't respond to most of our complaints. No refund for you- this is all you deserve for over $100! Stay here if you love danger and being treated poorly, otherwise go elsewhere. We are done with BW, actually canceled all future reservations based on corporate's attitude, so we know not to expect redress if there are issues. Thank you for ruining what was supposed to be a celebratory evening. We would have driven home that night if we'd felt safe taking our luggage or ourselves to the car.

Shower did not work very well, the tub was not very clean. The front window was not secure, secondary lock would not work. The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful, but the breakfast staff did not seem very attentive. The breakfast food sort of ran out early and was not refilled.

Booked a king suite room and was given something different. Fortunately they comped the difference- but very frustrating nonetheless. Additionally they did not advise us that there would be people ripping apart the roof and redoing it. I woke up to hammers beating on the roof and construction WAY too early on a Sunday morning. The rooms are nice, but it was a frustrating stay.

The rooms had bed bugs, roaches, flies, earwigs, mold and mosquitoes. The bathroom had a leaky shower and toilet. My coworker was bit about 50 times by the bed bugs and switched to a nicer hotel. When I asked to check out early and explained the issues, I was told I would still be charged for the next night's stay because it was too late to cancel.
