I really enjoyed my visit to Franks restaurant here in central Tucson, AZ. As the sign says this is not for you if you want a fine dining experience. But if you want good food with an authentic Tucson flare, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. Then Franks is for you. My waiter, Andrew, was friendly, fast and attentive. I had the Green chili and cheese omelette with chorizo and locally made tortillas. I also tried out the fresh made biscuit. All was wonderful. I’ll eat there again.

This diner feels just like home! The open grill lets you watch your breakfast—eggs, pancakes, and coffee—made fresh. The friendly owners provide warm, personal service that’s hard to beat. Great food, cozy vibes—I’ll definitely be back!

Family owned restaurant. Hectic but fantastic. Super friendly staff (all related) made it a hilight for our visit to Tucson. I had hashbrowns with green peppers and onions added and pork chops. My wife had rhe hungry man's breakfast (over half accompanied us home...) Crowded Sunday, but I wouldn't have missed it!

Went for breakfast on our most recent trip to Tucson. The place was packed, but it was closer to noon so didn't have to wait too long. The service was quick & friendly and the food was good. The only real standout was the biscuits and gravy. Other than that it was basic breakfast food, good..not great and didn't live up to the hype as best breakfast in Tucson. Note: at the time of this review they are adding $1 to the price of any dish that has eggs.

We were traveling and we always prefer to try the local places, and we felt that we got lucky with this one. The sign at the front that says elegant dining elsewhere was true and hilarious. I got a kick out of seeing that. And to be honest because of the way the place looked from the outside we did second guess going inside here to have breakfast, but I am so glad we did choose to go inside to try this place.

We were greeted as we entered and served quickly. Our food came out exactly as ordered and tasted great. We came early during the week for breakfast and we were lucky from what we heard that this place wasn’t crowded, but full of what seemed to be many locals. It would be my go to place if I lived here.

Prices are very reasonable and when our server got busy another server stepped in. Not a very big parking lot but we came very early and had no problem.

When we asked suggestions of where to go for breakfast from the locals that we came across while we were here on our golf trip this place came up often and I see why. You will not be disappointed with your choice to dine here. Give it a try.

My partner recommended eating here because he visited many times, and claimed it to have the "Best Breakfast in Tuscon." Those are some pretty strong words, so I couldn't refuse the to experience this great place myself.

Honestly, it was enjoyable to from start to finish. But speaking as a critic, I would warn potential guests that this place is so popular that it was fully packed by 10 in the morning on a Friday in March. That means even if you schedule a visit on a day where you are positive it won't be crowded, more than likely you'll be wrong.

My partner & I waited five minutes to be seated in a tight dining area with your chairs close to the other guests. The kitchen area is clearly visible when you enter, and you can hear the searing of the food. We were seated in the very back and it was still loud. The rowdy noises coupled with the close proximity to customers could make a guest overstimulated and uncomfortable.

Customer service is at my top priority when I rate though, so this place still gets high remarks for how the staff treated us. They kept a cool head through the chaos, and gave us exactly the order we wanted. With so many people, I feared it wouldn't come out right. But they served what I ordered, which was scrambled eggs & bacon with a side of hash browns and white, buttered toast (Tip: Try the grape jelly with the toast. It's delicious!).

Everything was perfectly done, and I ate it all right up. I can see why my partner named it the best food in town. It was fantastic, but with such a heavy crowd, I hope they're able to expand their business so it won't feel so claustrophobic. Great work overall, and I'll order from here again!
