Super fun, first time experience... Smaller than I anticipated, but quite accommodating. Bette the owner was super friendly... I felt like I had walked in to a family's kitchen. The food was good, not like I had everything on the menu, but the Sammys cheeseburger was good!

The menu is diverse. There are the typical Mexican offerings including menudo. I had the Carne Asada salad which really felt like a deconstructed asada tostada including beans pico de gallo and if you want, guacamole and sour cream. The meat is well seasoned, cooked well and good quality - not a lot of grizzle.

They also have a more American fare their burgers are big and well-seaeoned. But was well toasted with an abundance of sesame seeds. Get the curly fries. The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. It's a great place to bring the family

So let's address the elephant in the room. This place is all in all in on one particular president. The decor is decidedly political and the owners are passionate about it. If you're not one to let the theme bother you, then you will have a good meal at a reasonable price.

My dad loves this place so I had to try. We ordered Carne Asada tacos & a chicken burrito enchilada style. Tasty! Jorge is great and this place has a warm small town atmosphere.

Looking at reviews of this establishment, you will notice a lot of 5 star and a lot of 1 star reviews. This bimodal distribution is due to the political character of Sammy's grill. Those who agree with Samuel's political opinions tend to overrate the food, while those who disagree with him are overly critical. However, I am neither interested in, nor informed about politics, so my review is more unbiased than most.
Samuel's grill serves good food at a good price. Service is friendly, and the drive through runs smoothly. 1.99 for a good carne asada taco is a price I'm happy to pay. I wish the salsa was better, but I have no complaints about the tacos. At the end of the day, this is certainly the best drive through in Catalina. If you really care about politics, unlike me, you may enjoy this place more or less than I did.

We have been to Sammy’s on a few occasions and is a highlight for us since we have moved closer! I read a couple negative reviews and I’m confused how they could be true. Not on one occasion has the food been disappointing. Not once has the staff been rude- quite the opposite. And now that the weather is nicer, sitting on the patio is very enjoyable. The place has always been clean and I love that they support our first responders!

I’ve wanted to come here since I saw they were in the mainstream media in 2020. Politics aside, the food is incredible. In driving through Arizona right now and I will go there again. Very very nice. Thank you and all the best.

Food was outstanding. Ignore the bad reviews from the Liberal crybabies. I judge the quality of the food by the farts I let loose a little while after. They were so loud that they woke up my dog, who growled at me! Outstanding!

I don’t recommend. We stopped here from our way back from Las Cruces for a softball tournament. I like trying local spots and being from AZ I like supporting families from here.The beans were meh, at best. Taste overall needed more seasoning. Same with the salsa. It wasn’t spicy and too watery for my taste. The chips also were stale. I had ordered the nachos. It was like they had been sitting there. Overall, it’s not as bad but definitely could be better.
As for the atmosphere, it is what it is. All in all, there are better spots to go to.
