Let me start out by saying the hotel is nice. The location is close to anything that you may want to eat there's even a Denny's in the hotel, and they serve food 24 hrs. a day. The reason I gave the room a 3-star rating was because there was a smell in the room like water damage had occurred in the room at some point could not get the smell out. Also, the other reason for the 3-star rating is that I could not get my key to open the outside door even after I had them reset my key and at point the manager met me at the door and had to let me in. The customer service was great and the people that work there are friendly. One more thing when you checkout please ensure that they check you out don't just give them your name and room number stay until you see that you are good to go. Not bashing this hotel but there is a newer one maybe a 2 min drive from this location on the same street I may stay at that IHG next time.

I’d give my stay at the Holiday Inn Lumberton North I-95, starting on March 17, 2025, a solid five stars! From the moment we checked in, the staff welcomed us with genuine Southern hospitality that set the tone for a fantastic experience. The location right off I-95 was perfect for our road trip, making it an easy stop without any hassle.

Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had all the modern comforts we needed—comfy beds, a flat-screen TV, and a super convenient mini fridge. The on-site Denny’s was a lifesaver for a quick, tasty breakfast, and the kids loved eating for free! After a long day of driving, unwinding at the Bourbon Barrel Lounge with a drink was just what we needed—the atmosphere was cozy and the service top-notch.

The outdoor pool looked inviting (though we didn’t have time to swim), and the free Wi-Fi kept us connected without a hitch. The proximity to nearby restaurants and shops was a bonus, too. Overall, it was a relaxing, enjoyable stay that made our journey even better. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re passing through Lumberton!

This was absolutely the best Holiday Inn that we have ever stayed in. The cleanliness, the friendly and helpful staff, the housekeeping staff, etc. I hate to spend a fortune on a one night stop while driving and the price was very reasonable. I thought we would have to eat out for breakfast, but the night manager told us about the included breakfast at Denny's. We ate there for free the next morning after showing our keys and picking up coupons from the front desk. The hotel also had coffee and fruit out for the guests. The value for a one night stop exceeded my expectations. Number one for us was that the room and bathroom were spotless. I received water and snacks on arrival as a Rewards member.

We truly loved this hotel. Felt safe, well taken care of, and didn’t break the bank. Free coffee and fruit. We even got a members goody bag on arrival. Nice place with dennys being attached. Dennys was a little slow but it was a holiday weekend. Will come again if we are back in the area.

Room was pretty filthy and very outdated. The check in process was quick and simple but zero warmth in their welcoming. There’s a Denny’s here that’s 24 hours. Service was fine, food was okay, the restaurant itself however was a bit dirty. The table and seats had stains and there was a strange odor in the air. For the price we paid, I expected a better experience.

After a long day on the road, we arrived at this hotel with a coupon valid for a discounted rate. We were informed at check-in that the hotel was instructed not to accept these coupons any longer even though the coupon was valid for another two months. After driving for 9 hours we were not up to searching for another hotel so we stayed a paid the full price ($40 more). The room had a musty smell. This seemed at least partly due to a rancid shower curtain. The hotel restaurant is an adjacent Denny's. The food was fine but service was slow and the floor was tacky suggesting it had not been properly cleaned. The bed, lighting and wifi were fine. All in all, a disappointment.

Great stay here. Ac work great, clean rooms, clean bathrooms. Towels always stocked. There is soap provided and plenty of it. Fromt desk was very welcoming at check in and informative. Dennys located inside is convenient after a long day of work and not feeling like going anywhere. Overall 10/10 stay.

The staff and the location were great. However, despite the reference to the Bourbon Barrel Lounge on the hotel's website, it has not been in operation for years. Likewise, the hotel's restaurant (not the adjacent Denny's) is also not operational. So my thoughts of getting a burger and a beer at the hotel after a 7 hour drive were crushed and we had to get back in the car to find dinner and a drink. Very disappointed. Feel mislead and really don't understand how this hotel can keep the Holiday Inn name when it clearly not a full service hotel. At a minimum, they need to delete the reference to their lounge or make it very clear on their website that it is not open for business and, as a result, your dinner option at the hotel is a Denny's.

The location is a little odd because they don't have good signage. Didn't know if I was walking into holiday inn or Dennys. The highlight was the staff. Friendly, helpful and quick. The not so good part was the rooms. Hotel is heavily dated. The TV wasn't worth watching, take 8 seconds just to change a channel. Walked in the room and its just felt damp. Sort of odd so I turned on the ac. Sat in the room for a couple of hours and notice its definetly not cooler in the room. It blows but not cold. They switch my room (again great staff) and mostly uneventful from there on out.
