We booked this place because of the high ratings and incredible reviews. Hopefully this applies to every other room other than Studio # 5. First off the woman who manages it is extremely nice. We told her about our issue with the shower and she seemed concerned and said they would follow up immediately. The location is perfect, very close to The Marginal Way and town. Now the issues, the door to the unit is glass and has an enclosed shade, hard to explain, but it doesn’t work great and is extremely bright in the room all night, my wife had to use her sleep mask. I have trouble sleeping in a mask so I had trouble sleeping both nights. The faucet in the sink is to short so water gets all over the sink every time you use it but they only give you two bath towels and two hand towels, we had to lay the hand towels on the sink to keep from getting wet. And now the reason why we would tell you to never book Studio #5, the shower sinks when you get in it and makes awful noises like it is going to fall through the floor, I thought it just happened to me but then found out it also happened with my petite wife. They need to fix this before does fall through the floor. I would have given this stay a rating of 2.0 but the lady was too nice and the location was near perfect. Look at my other reviews and you can see we rarely give poor reviews.

Our stay at the Blue Shutters Inn was absolutely amazing! I went with my fiancé and parents, and we all loved every moment of it. The staff and owners were incredibly sweet and made us feel like part of the family — you can tell they genuinely care about their guests. Everything was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated with the cutest coastal touches. We’re already talking about when we can come back!

A great start to our Maine Adventure!We were greeted at checkin by the owner, with a glass of bubbly. The premises are beautifully maintained and Our room was immaculate, inviting and tastefully decorated. The staff was friendly and the location walkable to everything .Did I mention the breakfast? It was the reason to leave my comfy bed! |A delicious, gourmet style meal including freshly baked banana bread ! Lots of small personal touches that made our stay special. Highly recommend!

The food and accommodations were excellent. But what really made the stay memorable was the personal attention we received. When we arrived, Susan walked us to our room and showed us all of the amenities. Very welcoming that it felt like we were visiting family. The marginal way is just steps away in the back. Beautiful scenic views of the ocean and quick access to Perkins Cove.

They have done an amazing job transitioning the establishment from prior owners Glen & Laurence. They personally ensured that every detail of our stay was meticulously taken care of. The Blue Shutters Inn is quaint. It’s great that they are sister properties with Trellis. Each has unique features: Blue Shutters has the fire pit, and breakfast nook. Trellis has screened in porch. Delicious gourmet breakfasts in the nook, and cocktail hour in the Trellis really encourages socialization with other guests. Evening desserts provided, too. Susan helped my boyfriend with a surprise for me. She set up a beautiful display, helping make the surprise perfect. Susan and staff were very attentive to our needs.

We enjoyed our stay at the Blue Shutters Inn. The breakfasts were amazing and the deserts left out after dinner were a tasty surprise. Room was clean, the hosts friendly and helpful with dinner recommendations. Great location to access Marginal way and walk to town. We even walked to/from the show at Ogunquit Playhouse!

The room was very well decorated and clean. The bed was very comfortable, however, the pillows were terrible. They were very flat and uncomfortable. Otherwise we truly enjoyed out stay. The location was perfect and in walking distance to all the restaurants in town.
