Great location. Not too far from Anchorage. Easy in and out of campground. Be sure to check site sizes to make sure you fit. They were very precise in length. No service. But that's okay. Be bear aware. Overall great time.

Granite Creek CG is small, so make reservations via Recreation.gov if you can, or get there before the weekend starts! Sites are not suited for large RV rigs, but are great for smaller ones and tents. Be bear aware, but do take advantage of all there is to offer with the creek and nearby Johnson Pass, a GREAT hike/single track mountain bike trail.

Well spaced sites that provide privacy nestled among tall pines. Reservations highly recommended. Creekside spots are premium. Brand new picnic tables that are the largest, sturdiest I've ever seen.

The host is what made this a great campground. He helped us when someone took our reserved slot (he had tried to take care of it before we even arrived as it was apparent that it was a problem) and then checked on us a few times to make sure we hadn't been too inconvenienced. He's there to make sure the site is safe and properly operating and he did his job. ||||The campground itself is a nice, typical Parks/Rec grounds.

Campground was great, but camp host didn't have people skills, he seems annoyed when asking about campsite. Like he didn't want to be bothered.

Sites go quickly at this campsite, try to reserve before you arrive. We got the last spot the night we arrived, it was small but private. The views of the river were great and if you like birding this was a great campsite!

This campground is great for a one night stay. Each site is pretty small so try to pick one with a view, there are maybe a handful that you can actually see the mountains from. There is a little creek right behind but not much to see otherwise.
