This place is amazing. We have been twice, the first time we were served by Ricardo, his is so friendly and we had fun getting to know him (it was a slow day). The second time we were served by Sarah, she is wonderfully attentive and very kind.

We have tried:
Tomatillo chimichanga with green sauce
Birria chimichanga with red sauce
Grilled chicken chimichanga with red sauce
Tacos locos
Green chili cheese crisp

All were very good. Our favorites so far are the Tomatillo chimi and the Grilled chicken chimi.

We love it here, definitely give it a sho. It might become one of your favorites too.

Also, weirdly, they make great coffee and have cool coffee cups.

The food is very good here. The service is good. If you like mariachis come on Friday night which I will never do again it’s very very loud if you wanna talk don’t come here Friday night.

Carlota's Authentic Mexican Restaurant is absolutely my favorite Mexican food restaurant!

The Mariachi band plays on Friday evenings from 5:30 - 7:00. Live music adds such excitement to the atmosphere. The singer, Olivia, has such a strong, magnificent voice! Amazing! She also plays the violin. The trumpet player adds a brilliant tone. He is really a talented musician. There were two different kinds of guitars that supported this lively performance.

I have eaten at several different Mexican restaurants in the area. In my opinion, Carlota's has them all beat! The food has great flavor. The portions are a good value. The ambiance is uplifting.

A shout out to our mesero, Ricardo. Thank you for the great service and hospitality.

I love visiting Arizona and a dinner at Carlota's makes my visit complete.

I could take lots of pictures. Trust me this food is so good you will kick your self if you didn't come hear. Drinks food atmosphere. The upgraded kitchen. The wonderful staff. And a reasonable price for your dinning pleasures. Don't take my word come and see for yourself. Tucsons gonna love the new look.

Server was wonderful and the restaurant was beautiful but that's the end of the positives. My sister was served straight rancid food, like the whole table got a stench after it been there for a few mins. I don't know how quality control could be that low that something like that could make it to the table. They did remove it from the bill and luckily she only took one bite unfortunately I was not so lucky.

I have been vomiting every time I take a sip of water and it's coming out the other end with the same frequency. I can't remember the last time I was this sick but good thing I'm 1000 miles from home on vacation. Spent about 2 hrs at urgent care vomiting the entire time and then had to get one of the most painful shots in you know where.

I've heard from a lot of people this place used to be really good but since the new restaurant things have slipped a bit. I will never go here again but hopefully they get it together because it's a truly beautiful restaurant with a great waiting staff.

Also, if you have the time read through the owners replies to negative comments. If anyone has watched kitchen nightmares total Amy's baking company vibes.

We have been eating at Carlota's for several years and love it. They staff has always been friendly and welcoming when we eat there. Food has always been great and never a long wait after you order.
Highly recommend eating here for an authentic meal!

The food was good but unfortunately had some miscommunication with the staff. My order was misheard and the manager came out to offer to make the mistaken order for take out. When the bill came out, they charged me for both items, my original order and the mistake order. I was never informed that they would be charging me to remake the order, and if they had I would have kept the mistaken food. They also never mentioned that they would charge me for the take out. They also charged extra to make margaritas spicy(another detail that wasn’t mentioned ahead of time). Overall the food was fine but I would not return due to not being told about those charges and being mislead.
