I recently attended a retreat where lunches were catered by Mountain Mama Catering. Upon entering the dining area the heavenly aromas were the first indication of what was in store. Retreat participants were treated to five days of mouth watering and beautifully prepared foods that satisfied a variety of culinary appetites as well as sensitivity to the needs of those with dietary restrictions.

Mirabai, the owner and chef, is a culinary whiz who can effortlessly glide between creating unique, delicious meals that cover a wide range of ethnic and dietary spectrums. Her annual internationally themed dinners at the Palmer Communty Center have become the stuff of local legend, and a large crowd of appreciative diners keeps coming back every year for more. Egyptian, Jewish, Morroccan, gluten free, vegetarian, pescatarian....whatever your palate or preferences, Mirabia can not just accommodate but deliver beyond expectations. Her desserts are otherworldly!

My advice is this: have a tasting with her with your menu choices, to be sure you know exactly what you're getting, and so everyone knows the expectations. Be sure you are clear on what is needed and who is providing what for your event, venue, guests, etc. All of this should be understood well in advance, so there are no questions, misunderstandings, frustrations, or disappointments.
