Hands up and down this is the most flavorful, fulfilling, home cooked food I’ve had in this area since moving here seven years ago. I really enjoyed how knowledgeable the server was and the friendliness of the entire staff. I love its family owned and operated. I will definitely come back to try more dishes. Ohhhh and the hibiscus & pineapple juice is delicious. Lastly, the chefs menu, was a special plantain sorta puff with chopped onion and spices blended into a perfect round plantain puff loaded with sweet and spicy flavor.

Beware they don’t care- My husband and I went to this restaurant to try our authentic African food. I was so excited to go. As we arrived the waiter (owner) came to the table and greeted us. I shared that His place was recommended to me by a fellow employee. He then explained the menu as we both told him that I was allergic to fish and we would not be ordering anything with fish. We continued to express that this would be our first time ordering from an African restaurant and we didn’t know what was in the dishes. He told us what he felt would be best the Spinach soup, foo foo, and I wanted to try the rice as well. As he knew that we were staying far from fish. The order came to the table my husband and I ate I didn’t really like the foo- foo, the rice was tasty and the spinach soup was different he did explain that it had onions and thicker vegetables and spices. It was different so I asked as we had eaten again what was in it and the (owner) who I explained we were avoiding fish due to my allergies said fish. My heart sunk I told him that we both stated that I have a fish allergy we rushed to go get benedryl ASAP which I continued throughout the night the next day my entire face was swollen and I ended up in the emergency room. If you have food allergies Do NOT eat here. Save Yourself. They do not list all their ingredients on the menu. The bill was almost $40. For foo-foo, soup a small side of rice and can sodas. That almost killed me never again

Dining at this establishment was a genuinely enjoyable experience. When you walk into the restaurant, you are immediately greeted by the family who run the restaurant. They are super kind and very knowledgeable of the food and culture. The atmosphere of the place was also very welcoming, warm, and traditional - and clean! With a food safety rating of A. Now let's talk about the food... The food was traditionally homemade as well as wholesome, hearty, and super flavorful. It was amazing! Me and my husband tried the chicken ragout, peanut soup, plantain fufu, and beignet style plantains. We loved each dish we tried and had absolutely no complaints. The price was also not too expensive. Overall, we had a lovely experience and we will definitely be coming back to eat here again!

My mom and I had such a wonderful dining experience here! The food was absolutely delicious—served hot, perfectly spiced, and full of authentic African flavors. You can truly taste the love and care that goes into every dish, and the presentation was beautiful. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the atmosphere even better. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy genuine African cuisine—you won’t be disappointed!

Maybe I should have taken a photo before I devoured, BUT the proof is in the picture of how good the food is! My girls and I drove an hour away just from the google reviews and I’m glad I did! I had the egusi with oxtail (as suggested by a reviewer) and the plantain fufu. Since I drove so far I also decided to get a few more items that were reviewed, like the red snapper, jollof rice and , fried plantain . Everything was amazing plus the staff was extremely friendly! I would definitely recommend! I promise to take better pics next time because I will definitely be back! First time trying!!

This place is fantastic!!
Our family of 7 visited here after a military graduation. We were greeted upon arrival and were able to seat ourselves. We were immediately tended to and the menu was explained to us in thorough detail. All the food on the menu was available and freshly made by a mother daughter duo in the kitchen while the son-in-law/husband worked the front. We were able to easily make changes and the food came out hot and delicious. We all ate our food and even ordered more to go for our road trip. As West Africans ourselves, it’s hard to find a restaurant that has both good food and good service. We found that here and it even exceeded our expectations. Thank you soo much to the Le Bambou Family!!! We will surely visit again the next time we are in South Carolina ❤️❤️
