This hotel was once very nice but is now probably a shelter for homeless people. My room was functional but "the breakfast guy" didn't show up so there was no comp breakfast. The whole place seems like it has been all but abandoned by the owners. I would not have given it two stars except that my room was OK. But I would avoid this place

Please do not go here these people were so rude that it brought me to tears. My sister was in dire need of help. Her phone had been stolen a few days prior and was low on fuel. She had walked in the hotel wanting to use the phone to call me for assistant. They were so rude to her she was asked to leave the premises, mind you she had her three children in the car waiting. My sister is a nurse, and she deserved better treatment than she received. The manger there did not help nor care but treated her like she was nothing. People come on hard times at some point in their life and if we can help it could change their whole day.

My car was stolen over the weekend and Miss Trudy the so-called general manager who just became a manager in her life told me as a young woman that I was no longer able to extend although I talked to the police and everything trying to get my situation under control. They still refused my service of staying although I have been staying here for over 5+ years they are very rude And like I said, obviously watch your vehicles. Very bad location very bad area. The women are very snotty and rude and I am a choice rewards member and I’m also from Texas so I almost had no way home and they just didn’t care at all about the situation. rooms are horrible filled with roaches. My bathtub didn’t work. The AC was out my entire time of stay. They don’t even have AC in the front office only big fans. The parking lot is filled with raccoons and possums, and I’ve never seen this business go downhill like this.

The hotel is need of a complete renovation. The lobby has an odor and the hvac appeared to be broken. One of the elevators is broken and the other one has super strong pine scented air freshener to cover up the mold smell as well as broken and missing floor boards. The beds were comfortable but the windows need an upgrade all you hear all night is the road noise. We booked an ADA accommodation and that room would not allow the wheelchair to pass all the way through to the bathroom. The opening between the desk and wall were to close. We went down for breakfast at 6:40 and were told the breakfast girl was not in today and they were not serving breakfast. The coffee they did provide at 6:40 wasn't even hot...not sure how that was possible and they said they refresh it when it's empty?!? I will not stay here again and I honestly don't know if I would attempt to stay at another Comfort Suites.

A friend and I stayed in this facility on 4/25/2025. Apparently, some rooms have been or are being renovated. We were in room 112. We opened the door and were greeted by a strong musty, moldy smell. We did find a large spot (at least a foot in diameter) of mold on the bathroom ceiling. The deadbolt lock would not completely engage. The bathroom was bad. A new tub surround had been installed but the walls were a mess. The door wouldn't shut. The tub/shower faucet was loose. In the seating area it appeared that the flooring had been replaced, but the carpet under the bed was nasty and stained. Many other little things that need to be corrected. With all the maintenance problems, the staff was doing a good job. The beds were clean and comfy. The rest of the room, as clean as it could be with that filthy carpet. When we checked out the staff was handling complaint after complaint. What a shame as it is a beautiful property with a lovely pool area. If this had been my first stay in a Comfort hotel, I would never stay in another one.

So 2 stars is actually being nice. The person who took my reservation didn't even work at the hotel. When I set it up I asked for an early check in for 11:00. When my family and I arrived at 11:00, we were turned away for 3 hours, even on the reservation saying 11:00 clock in, with no empathy I may add & lady saying "that doesn't matter to me" Also, RED FLAG: when walking into the lobby you have 2 industrial fans blowing. 2nd RED FLAG: a quick drive around the property there are more than half the bottom rooms boarded up, some 2nd floor rooms also. When we finally got into our room and further inspection, The box springs are filthy ( pictures taken) the carpet is disgusting & sticky, (pictures taken), the side table legs had caked up throw up on them & being a recovering addict know damn good and well seeing scratches on the top side table on them too mean who ever put them there was only doing one thing (pictures taken). If you can take $100 deposit for damages, take it when things are damaged and replace them!! Nats flying around, stomping up stairs all night, loud people outside all night, air conditioner made a loud noise all night, the cabinets are broken, our courtyard view is obscured by a gate and bushes. The best part about this place was the man who reserved my room, who didn't even work here & breakfast. But be careful when getting breakfast not to take too much because my husband was accused of taking too many sausages when he doesn't even have teeth to eat them & he brought me 2. You would be better off getting a Motel than paying what you do for this place. Not worth it, look elsewhere!!

I was passing through Baton Rouge yesterday and decided to stay at this hotel again. The front desk staff was extremely rude and lied to me. He assigned me a room all the way at the end of the hallway by the freeway, and I did not feel safe. Additionally, the room was so close to the highway that it was extremely noisy. I went back to the front desk and told the guy that I would like to change to another room in the middle of the hallway. He told me that there were no rooms available. I pointed out that the parking lot was empty and there weren't any guests checking into the hotel yet. There were plenty of vacant rooms available. He refused to move me to another room. I told him that I am a diamond member. He said it didn't matter. They assigned me the room, so I had to accept it. I asked him to let me talk to the manager. He claimed the manager was not available. I asked him how he could assign me a room without a phone. Finally, he moved me to another room. The room he assigned me had many tiny bugs on the bed and pillow.

The check in was ok. When I entered the room it looked ok but smelled a little like pets. I love pets so i over looked that until I got to the bathroom. It looked horrible like they had just had a leak upstairs above and the ceiling looked liked it was going to fall. The walls were so bubbly that it looked liked water was still behind the wall but it was dry to the touch. However, without proper treatment mold will grow and my allergies were a mess the next morning. Going back to the night before the tv was not working so i called to the lobby. It took 20 or so minutes to reach anyone. The next day going to check out i was hoping for coffee and something to put in my belly. There was nothing done and the excuse was the cook never showed up. Well my question was why was the front clerk not at least putting something out instead of sitting in the back room with a bell on the counter? This hotel needs people who care. The guy behind the counter was usless.
