As we moved into the building phase, we did run into some delays during the permitting process with the City of Santa Clara, which were outside of anyone’s control. However, Adore Homes stepped up right away. Anh the project manager stayed on top of the situation, worked closely with the city, and kept us informed every step of the way. Once the permits were cleared, Adore moved quickly to get the project back on track, and their Anh ensured that everything stayed on schedule from that point forward.

The entire team was professional, organized, and committed to delivering a high-quality product.

My personal experience with ADORE HOMES was outstanding from start to finish! This was a truly complete turn-key project that completely met my expectations. My experience was very positive from day one. We went to the presentation to look at the models to get an idea of what Adore homes had to offer. Next step was to have Tom come and asses our lot. We decided to go forward with our project. The big selling point for me was how I could customize the dwelling we picked out for our particular needs. Adore homes handled all the permitting process and construction, from foundation to sewer, PGE electrical and the delivery process was also a huge selling point. We received weekly updates in our Slack app. We did have a couple of snags with painters and miscellaneous things, but all of our concerns and issues were handled in a professional and timely manner. Adore Homes team were very helpful in completing our project. We are moved in and have added pavers for our front entry way. The Blue color we chose is absolutely Stunning!!! Thank you Tom, Ken, Kevin and Sarah!

I still remember our first visit to the Adore Homes showroom in Sunnyvale. By the time we left, we knew we wanted to move forward with them. Tom’s outstanding pre-sales support played a big role in that decision—he took the time to walk us through the process, explain local regulations, and gave us thorough walkthru of the models.

The permitting process with the City of Fremont and PG&E took a bit longer than expected, but the Adore team remained diligent and persistent, ultimately ensuring everything was approved and on track.

We came across a few minor hiccups during the design selection phase—particularly with kitchen countertops, cabinets, and other interior finishes—but the team was collaborative, responsive, and committed to helping us reach the right decisions.

Delivery day went smoothly, with everything well coordinated alongside city requirements.

Post-sales support has also been strong. While a few small details were needed to be addressed, the Adore team promptly followed up to address them.

Adore Homes Review

It’s a process. We wanted to build a larger ADU in the backyard of our Campbell home for our son, daughter-in-law, and grandson. One of our concerns was to have at least a 1,100 sq foot unit so that its size would allow room for many years. Having a good floorplan and space efficient storage inside the unit helped it feel more long-term. We had explored two other ADU companies before a friend suggested Adore Homes and we visited their showroom. Adore Homes had the largest number of floorplans and the most adaptability of either of the two previous ADU vendors we had considered. We met Tom at the showroom and he helped us through the decisions of which model would give us what we wanted and fit on our property. He came to our property and measured and marked off where the unit could fit. He then contacted the City of Campbell with a possible concern and let us know that the size unit we wanted would fit. We chose the 1,173 sq foot, 3 BR, 2 bath model and signed on the dotted line.

Then we were assigned a project manager, and admin. That part did not go so well as both were new to the company and not up and running. We worked on and submitted our initial factory modification choices to the factory for pricing. This first project manager submitted our ADU plans to the city for the building permit. Then the holidays came along and not much happened—or seemingly from our point of view. In February this first project manager quit and we were assigned a new project manager, Kevin, who has been with Adore Homes for a while. We were also assigned a new admin, also a well-seasoned employee. Then things greatly improved. Both Kevin and Arlene communicated frequently and effectively with us. We received weekly updates through online platform and by email. We were so happy.

We got our building permits in mid-March. Beginning of April, they assigned us a contractor and they began building the foundation.

On June 10, the factory-made ADU was shipped in two parts and craned over our house into the backyard and plopped down on the new foundation. It was a momentous day, lots of fun and a neighborhood spectacle. Kevin was so honest in providing us a good finished product. Kevin’s higher ups were generous at cost decisions when overcoming obstacles added unexpected cost.

Overall, our experience with Adore has been very positive. Kevin was an excellent project manager and was able to stay on top of things and answer any inquiries about what was happening. Like any project, there were some hiccups along the way, but Kevin and Adore Homes continued to work hard to solve these problems. We are so thankful for the ADU and for Kevin and the Adore Homes team’s persistence.

We just finished our ADU project with Adore Homes, and we’re super happy with how it turned out. The whole team was great to work with—Tom and Ken, the cofounders, and our project manager Kevin were always on top of things. Their GC was really responsive too.

The permit process took a while (about a year) because the city of Fremont was slow and kept asking for more stuff. But Adore Homes handled it all really well and kept us in the loop the entire time.

Once the permits were sorted out, Adore Homes really picked up the pace. They delivered the ADU in just three months and then spent another three months adding upgrades and making changes on site.

We highly recommend Adore Homes. They’re professional, dedicated, and really good at what they do.

Exceptional Experience Building Our ADU with ADORE Homes!

We recently completed our 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom ADU with ADORE Homes, and the entire project—from design to completion in August 2025—was truly outstanding. From day one, the ADORE team was professional, transparent, and highly organized, but I have to give special recognition to Kevin Dejeu, our project manager, who was simply phenomenal throughout the entire process.

Kevin guided us step-by-step, making what could have been a stressful home-building experience feel smooth and efficient. He was always available to answer questions, kept us updated on progress, and handled every detail with care and precision. The off-site build process was incredibly efficient, and once the unit was delivered, the on-site setup and installation were surprisingly quick.
