Was visiting Whitefish to ski but experienced significant pain from my new boots. Really tried to push it off until I came back home, but ended up calling Great Northern to see if they had a boot fitter available and could squeeze me in. Had an incredibly validating experience working with Ben. Thank you for your knowledgeable assessments and recommendations for improving my boots! After two visits, I was able to continue to ski the week without any numbness or pain at all! Highly recommend to anyone considering visiting a boot fitter for additional work while skiing on vacation- you won’t be disappointed; it’s so worth it. Pics of my boots for the algorithm 🙂

I can’t say enough good things about the Great Northern Cycle & Ski.

I got a flat tire out on the trails the other day and brought the bike in for repair. I was concerned that just showing up would be lucky to get a repair that day, but they managed to squeeze me in because I was only here for five more days. Not only did they make the repair, but I also found out my handlebars were on backwards, and they offered to set them up correctly.

I can’t say enough good things about this bike shop and the people who work here. You’ve got a parking lot right next door, they’ll serve you coffee or tea inside, and they have a lot of clothing and parts to choose from. 10/10

I can't say enough good things about this shop. They carry high end, high quality ski and bike product. The mechanics and sales staff are the best I've seen. Willie and Stella have created a staple within the community for all bike and downhill ski gear.

I purchased a pair of skis here while vacationing in Whitefish. The staff was all very friendly and extremely helpful! They were kind enough to mount the bindings while I waited so I could ski on them the next day!! I can't say enough good things about this shop and the employees, A+ customer service! Will definitely stop in again next time we're in town! Bonus points for a great dinner recommendation!

Getting a bike fit with Matt was an excellent experience. He was super attentive, professional, and thorough in making sure my bike was set up perfectly for me. You can tell he really cares about getting every detail right. I highly recommend Matt if you’re looking for a dialed, personalized bike fit.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I made an appointment the same day for an existing boot adjustment. Henry helped me out and got my boot fitting perfect. He was very attentive and I was in and out very quickly. The prices are very affordable too. Next time I need new boots I will absolutely be making a special trip here to specifically buy from Great Northern.

Just bought my first pair of new ski boots and GN Cycle and Ski was top notch!! I came in completely clueless as to what I was looking for, and everyone was so happy to help. Henry asked me tons of questions about my skill level, preferred terrain, experience skiing, and what I was hoping for with the boot, and recommended multiple options that he thought would be best after measuring my foot. I eventually landed on the Salomon Alpha 110s and they couldn’t be better. I brought them in for fitting one more time before riding and Whitey helped me with the fit and a custom heat mold for them. All of the staff that have assisted me here have been so helpful, reassuring, knowledgeable, and patient with my questions and uncertainty. Needless to say, I now have an awesome ski boot that rides beautifully. Suuuper stoked to have such an awesome ski shop here in whitefish!

Tom gave me an excellent boot fitting with custom insoles a few months ago. I must say, this has been the most satisfied purchase I have ever made! My boots fit perfectly! I can roll my skis onto their edges instantaneously… My carving has been elevated to a new level all thanks to Tom and the designers at Salomon!
