Good: Friendly check-in. Grounds were nice enough.
Not good: Room seemed relatively updated, but not wonderfully cleaned. Got in late and went to bed, in the morning we found questionable smears on windows, mirrors, fridge. Crumbs and other paper debris on the floor. And leftover food with fork still in the microwave. We asked for this to be cleaned when we were out for the day. When we returned to the room later that evening the food was still in the microwave and we were told no one was there to clean it as it was after 8pm…
We requested a 2pm checkout as this is a benefit of titanium status (up to 4pm), only to be told that they’re franchised and don’t have to honor that since it’s not a corporate location, but they will allow 1:00 this time…
Continental breakfast was one of the worst I’ve had.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Residence Inn in Chandler, Arizona, for a business meeting. The Residence Inn by Marriott Phoenix Chandler/South is a relatively new hotel in Chandler, Arizona, situated on the picturesque shores of Lake Ocotillo. The hotel offers a variety of amenities, including, fitness center, walking paths, an outdoor pool, and a patio area for guests to enjoy. Several excellent restaurants are within walking distance, and there is also a bar with food on-site. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and hot showers. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Chandler area.

Andrea was a 10 in the breakfast lounge. Had two exceptional breakfasts here while we stayed in Chandler. She went above and beyond with excellent service. She was quick to respond and willing to accommodate a lot of people at once. Thank you Andrea!

We requested first floor at booking and called a week before and was told to call day of check I'm. We called at 7 am and was told no rooms on the first floor. My parents are elderly and not only could they not accommodate us, but they put is in a room furthest from the elevator. These hotels advertise they are for long term stay but they have the most uncomfortable furniture. This location also does not have ice maker in fridge. We will no longer stay at a Residence Inn. We have been staying at Residence Inn for about 15 or more years. Instead of upgrading they have downgraded significantly. We canceled our reservation coming back home from vacation and will be staying at Staybridge Suits.

It's a 3-star hotel. The building and rooms are a bit nicer than that, but the (free) breakfast & breakfast service are 3-star standard. It you know that, it's a good choice.

Hands down the very worst Marriott Residence Inn I’ve experienced! From walls and ceilings that are tissue paper, thin to the point that you can hear your neighbors conversations, to having a property this large not have any hot running water for a 10 day stay, not one unit has an oven in it no baking sheets, no fry pans… It’s a glorified room with a microwave. The furniture inside the units are so broken down that if you attempt to sit on your sofa, your backside will be lower than your kneecaps. Making it very difficult to get out. During our 10 nights stay, I don’t think there was a front desk person that had been there longer than one month. No management to be found whatsoever. Just excuses on top of lies! The shower area, which I’m sure at one time was White, is just covered with dirt. Even both beds in the bedroom were so broken down and sunk in the middle, that just added to a very uncomfortable stay. Extremely poor management response when you can finally get a hold of one. Took us almost a week before we finally did. To my experience off, 11 days after I checked out, they attempted to make two fraudulent charges on my credit card. this is a franchise Marriott, so you’re not going to get anything that you’re used to when you stay at a Marriott properly .
Now for the total classic part. When you complain you get a “form letter” from the GM. Also, you can NOT post a review on Marriott unless they send you an invitation!?!?
Lastly, but most importantly. This location has theft or fraud going on. 11 days after I checked out they attempted TWO fraudulent charges for $140 & $280!!!! Can’t even trust them with your credit card let alone trust them in providing a decent room or service!

We came here for our anniversary, expecting to have a great experience. However, we were just disappointed in almost everything except for the location.

We came in early (around 1 pm) and there was no one at the front desk to help us. That's fine, we understand maybe they don't do early check-ins, so we just came back around 3 pm. Upon checking in, the receptionist said that there would be a free breakfast the next day, but they didn't. (Should have informed us right away). We also requested to have a late check-out and they let us stay until 1 pm. But when I was using my key card around noon, the door didn't let me in, and have to ask my husband to open the door for me. Without knocking, the housekeeper just opened our door even though we already asked to check out late. Hope they'll improve their system by informing the housekeepers of the late check-outs and making the key card function on the time that we agreed.

It also takes time before the water in the sink/restroom to get hot. And it is funny that they have an envelope and QR code for tips, but nothing like pen and paper which most of the Residence Inns that I've been to have.

Great hotel as long as you don’t need to sleep or take a shower. The thermostat is on motion detector so the room becomes so hot at night that it’s impossible to sleep. Then you get up because you’re sweating and the air conditioner kicks back on when it detects motion and you get cold and it happens over and over and over again, and you never sleep. The shower only had two settings off and scalding hot. I was sweaty gross and in pain after my shower. The girl at the counter didn’t seem to care. I guess it’s a just a function of staying at a giant hotel chain.
