What a great time I had eating here. Most importantly, the food is delicious, they put a lot of thought into presentation, and it all pays off to make eating here a truly enjoyable experience. The decor is friendly and the vibe is very homey. Staff here is very accommodating and engaged, asking how your food is, if there’s anything you need, and overall leaving good impressions, all of which add to the lovely time spent here. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone looking for an awesome Californian breakfast experience.

Breakfast here was very good and service was great! Added sides of Nutella and strawberries to the crepes. Wish it would come with that instead of the jam. Also would have requested the nuts, strawberries and whip cream on the side of the pancakes so we could layer each of those ingredients. Burrito was done well and flavorful and there were hot sauces on the table to choose from. Get there before 9 to take advantage of the Early bird specials. Hash browns were perfectly done. Would definitely come again next time we are in the area. The restaurant could be a little cleaner and definitely needs some updating and tlc.

Way overpriced and totally overrated. First, the restaurant itself is shabby and falling apart. The floors are sticky, dirty, and peeling, the walls are grimy, bathrooms also very dirty and the atmosphere is not welcoming at all. The place looks like it hasn’t been touched in 25 years. Then there’s the food…tiny portions for big prices. Our hash browns were half raw, I ate the thinnest turkey sausage patty I’ve ever had in my life. My eggs were so small, I finished them in 2 bites. The pancakes were no better, half undercooked and half overcooked. Do not recommend this place, the reviews are not telling the truth!

I understand that I'm not eating at a high end restaurant, but this place is kinda gross, I get that it's a restaurant but the place in general is poorly maintained, the vents for the AC are black and filthy, the walls and baseboard are all black and dirty, you can see where they've had water damage in the ceiling and it's damaged and moldy. ALL THIS BEFORE I EVEN EAT THE FOOD.

Again, I get its a small town and an older building but the absolute negligence is kinda surprising, the manager and all the staff in this place walk into this daily. Have some pride in where you work, basic cleanliness, were eating at a dive breakfast place, stop price gouging like I'm eating at a quality restaurant.

I ordered the corn beef hash, I paid $18.00 for it, it was burned and poorly cooked, the hash browns were soggy and had zero flavor, the food couldn't have been thrown together any worse. My girlfriend had the ham omelet with chunks of vegetables so big that it didn't even make sense to have in the omelet as they won't cook preperly.

Save your money and go to a McDonald's over this place, any place in Ojai is probably better actually.

- Clean your restaurant up
- Stop price gouging for terribly cooked food
- Hire a real cook who cares about what they make
- Trick customers into thinking you care about the place at least

First time visitor - My wife and I are local and thought we'd try out Home Kitchen for dinner, glad we did!
We stopped in about 7:30pm and found it very quiet; only one other couple was there. We were quickly seated and the waitress took our drink order.
Found the menu to be plain, basic fare but that was exactly what we expected from a place called Home Kitchen. We both ordered the chicken, twice baked potato, and another side. I got the street corn and my wife had the house salad.
I had the chipotle sauce with my chicken and found it to be delicious! The server kept my iced tea filled as it was a little spicy but really good.
We split a cheesecake for dessert and decided we'd be back to try some of the other menu items.

Last minute breakfast before work and it is GREAT! Super friendly staff and options for this vegetarian. I got the tofu scramble and potatoes. Its delish with peppers, onions, mushrooms, peppers. They even bring you a freshly made crepe before your breakfast. Yum!!

Excellent and value-sized beef patty & eggs with a slab of home fries and English muffin plus a large croissant sandwich and a nice lady serving in comfortable benches. Best breakfast in a few weeks.
