The extra large bed was the best, most comfortable , clean bed and was the best sleep away from home. And the shower was absolutely great, always hot. Easy access to parking and good entertainment all around the area. And the freeway is almost right next door when you’re ready to head home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The staff here is so wonderful. My room is perfect for what I need. They are pet friendly and even have a small dog park and multiple pet stations. Right across the street from a plaza with food, shopping, and the movies: I needed to come here last minute for an extended stay for a travel nurse position I took and Desiree was so kind and helpful with getting the room ready four hours early for me and my pets. I couldn’t be happier with my choice to come here!

Stayed here for a night while stopping in Bakersfield. Not in a great area. Rooms could use some updating. Lobby is dark and a little dreary. Staff seems friendly enough. Called ahead and asked for early check in (titanium elite) only got in about 30-40 mins prior to normal check in and they didn’t call as per conversation, I called just to see and when he checked he said ‘oh yeah looks like it’s ready.’ Didn’t seem super busy so maybe not enough housecleaning staff? Not in great area like I said, but oddly enough they only have cameras at the lobby. A few more cameras in the parking lot would help with security and honestly aren’t a huge expense. I would try another property next time we are in the area

Super clean and spacious room, love the refrigerator option and the free breakfast is delicious and convenient! They always have Tuesday night meet ups. And a good place to have family come and enjoy time together. We will always choose this place!

Not only were there roaches in the room, the health department was following an employee around the breakfast area with a clipboard. During breakfast. Rooms are tired, dark, dirty and creepy. They have a security guard, parked out in front of the lobby as well. Not a great neighborhood. I’m a titanium Marriott number and stay approximately 90 nights a year in hotels. All Marriotts. I’m used to mediocre hotels for business travel. This is up there with one of the very worst. I booked for two nights and checked out after the first night. I rarely write reviews, but had to on this one.

The staff is exceptional. Mary Jane took care of all of my needs and concerns. I stayed for one night. I loved the studio style kitchenette with cute dinnerware, glasses, and cutlery. I felt like I was at home. Thank you Residence Inn.

An older Marriott hotel, located out of downtown. My wife and I stayed one night here during our three-week US road-trip in January-February 2025.

The (we thought un-necessary) $10 parking fee was waived upon my challenge as a Platinum Elite guest.

Rooms are a bit like small flats inside a number of houses. Clean and comfortable, but as I said, a little older.

Breakfast in the main building is included.

BED BUGS and no refund.

So we went to check in, staff were super nice. But the first sign something was up is that they didn’t have enough room keys and could only give us 1 key for our party of 6.

I take the key, go to the room, doesn’t work. Back to the front desk, they give me another key and go to the room with me to check it works.

I go in room, and as I do in any hotel, check the beds for bed bugs. I pull the sheets back and there are a couple red dots that make me look more. I end up finding a bed bug and because the hotel is older, not super clean (the chairs had really worn spots on them, the outlets on the wall were missing a faceplate, etc) I go check out.

I let them know I saw a bed bug, I’m gonna check out and don’t want to pay for parking. The hotel was paid for with Credit card points so the front desk lady starts to check me out, and a co-worker (who looked off duty and was on my side of the counter) said to not check us out, I’d need to reach out to the 3rd party to get a refund. But they “waived” parking.

We moved to another hotel without bed bugs. Trying to get a refund, but so far it’s been denied because “we had already checked in”. The Credit card says it’s denied by the vendor, not them.

Take it for what it’s worth, but the staff are nice, the hotel is older, and rooms feel very dated and not clean. I travel a lot and I’m fine with a lot, but not bed bugs and even if it didn’t have bed bugs, I wouldn’t come back because it just felt “worn”
