We checked into the Courtyard Marriott in Bakersfield last night after a 7.5-hour drive with our family of four. I had accidentally booked a king bed room instead of one with two queen beds. Muhammad at the front desk was incredibly helpful, friendly, and gracious. He immediately helped us find a double queen room without any hassle.

His cheerful attitude and offer of water bottles made a huge difference after a long day of travel—his customer service was truly outstanding.

The room was spotless, the beds were super comfortable, and everything was just as it should be. Great hotel and exceptional service from Muhammad. Highly recommend staying here!

During my recent stays at the Courtyard Marriott in Bakersfield, one person has consistently stood out—Muhammad at the front desk. No matter the time of day (or night) I’ve checked in—once around 1:00 AM, and most recently at 3:00 AM this past Friday morning—Muhammad has always greeted me with a calm, welcoming presence and genuine care.

He goes above and beyond to ensure my comfort, taking the extra step to place me in rooms that offer a quiet, restful environment—away from elevators, and without connecting doors that might lead to shared noise. That kind of attention to detail might seem small, but it speaks volumes about his dedication to guest satisfaction.

Muhammad is the kind of person who makes you feel valued and looked after, and his professionalism and kindness truly elevate the experience at this hotel. He’s a standout example of excellent service, and I’m grateful for the peace of mind he provides every time I check in.

Arriving late at night there is not much I can say about the facilities. The room was comfy, the aircon worked well, staff was friendly and the hotel has plenty of parking. In the vicinity are plenty of gas stations and restaurants. Very good Marriott standard.

Stayed there multiple times - great place if you do not want to be in the middle of all the action on the strip. You have to call an Uber, but it’s a fairly close from the hotel. Rooms are a bit outdated, but they are remodeling the hotel. Nice cafe, good food and service.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times, staff is always very friendly. Hotel is within quick walking distance of a Starbucks and restaurants. On my last visit, Juan and Marisol in the cafe/bar area were great!!!

Gladys went above and beyond to ensure that I was checked in and was able to stay on the first floor IVO my truck/trailer. Marriott should promote her to a management position; promote ahead of peers!

The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and quiet. It's an older property and there are probably a few things that could use some upgrading. However, the rooms were nice and clean. It was more the hallways and the public areas that could use a little more attention. We did notice that quite a few people were enjoying the pool area, so that's a plus. The location is nice because there's no freeway or street noise.
