Our stay at this Super 8 was definitely something special. When we pulled up, someone immediately tried to sell us her Yorkie—definitely not your standard check-in vibe. Then, while we were unloading, we saw someone who looked like they were breaking into a car, which was a real confidence booster for our night ahead.

The door to our room wouldn’t even open properly—we had to give it a good kick to get inside. Once we were in, it was like stepping into a crime scene. The carpet was sticky in more places than I care to remember, and the bathroom toilet needed multiple flushes just to handle toilet paper.

There were weird stains on the walls and on the bedspread, so we didn’t even think about sleeping under those covers. Forget about showering—it was just too gross. In the morning, we didn’t even want to risk the bathroom, so we brushed our teeth right there in the parking lot before getting the heck out of there.

Oh, and the outlets had no covers, turning the room into an electrifying fire hazard zone. For a non-smoking room, there were also plenty of cigarette burns on the furniture—nice touch.

If you’re into weird vibes, sticky floors, and brushing your teeth in the parking lot, this place might be your jam. For everyone else? I’d keep driving!

Stayed here one night as a stop over between destinations. While the place is a bit worn, it was a pleasant stop. The location is good, being right off the highway and with several restaurants nearby.
The rooms were not bad, as I mentioned a bit worn, but clean. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here as it is on the way to a vacation place we often go to.
The bathroom ceiling had some hasty repairs that were quite obvious, but for the price, we couldn't complain.

TV didn't work, room was dirty, room was beat up and half the furniture had cigarette burns, the outside light went on/off all night. Terrible place. Very noisy. Don't stay there! In the morning mgt said, "sorry". No offer of refund. I would give it a negative if I could. The rooms need to be gutted. Nothing is worth saving. It is all junk.

Rooms are tired. One of the two rooms we were given had no functioning power outlets. After we asked to be moved, the new room had only one of four working. Given there is no ceiling light, and you're reliant on various lamps, that left us virtually in the dark.

Service was good, though. We changed both that room and the other room (the first one was a smoking room) without a problem.

A reasonable breakfast is included - toast, cereal, oats, coffee, muffins; a later finish, closer to checkout time, would be welcome.

My Family and I have been to all the Hotels in Bakersfield and this Super 8 feels as close to home for my children. The rooms are Huge for my 3kids to Run around. The bathroom and toilet is Super Clean and I'm OCD about my Toilet. There are absolutely No Bugs in their Rooms !!! To the bad review customer Maybe you brought them? I'm just saying!!! Furthermore they have Breakfast which is very convenient in this day in time Saves me a 20$ breakfast every morning.. The Housekeepers Are the Sweetest 💕 And all of the Woman at the front Desk are Amazing seriously!!! I live here !!! People don't be fooled by fake reviews!!! Come check it out for yourself I love it here it's away from all the craziness and you get Discounts if your A Wyndham Rewards Member who doesn't want to save 💲

Attendant in the lobby had a really bad actitud and made guest wait in line while she is just talking to coworkers about personal drama.
The room was a no smoking room; however it had a strong smell to smoke disguise with aromatic spray scent.
Carpet is super dirty.
Breakfast is only toast, coffe, juice and cereals.
I asked an employee if that was it for the breakfast and she said they only offered continental, this is not even continental breakfast. They should disclosed this information regarding the breakfast been "continental".
I have stayed in this place before and the change is a 360 for the worst.

Homeless everywhere. People stand outside there rooms watching guest park and unpack there belongings, the bed had pieces falling off. All the electrical was messed up in our room. And the customer service/ cashier was rude and gave us a hassle checking in. We booked online and had all our receipts. Horrible. Do not book here. Motel 6 is right around the corner.

Neg: smells like concentrated dust everywhere and I'd say the person with respiratory problem would have a hard time staying in the room. Walls need washing and general cleansing. The whole room needs an upgrade. A/C unit is rather noisy. Electrical installation needs an upgrade. Lights are poor. Overall impression: dirty room which needs some love.
Pos: bathroom is acceptable. Towels and bed sheets are clean. Breakfast served, however can't assess the quality as I skipped it altogether. Microwave and fridge in the room.
