I have heard so many things about this place. I decided to give it a try since I am new to the area. I tried my best to like it but it was difficult. I agree with some of the reviews they serve you a lot for the price. However, I got a really bad stomachache after eating part of my meal. Also, the food has no flavor and it makes it difficult to eat. Customer service was great but the food wasn’t and my stomachache gave me problems at night, that’s the reason for my two star.

Absolutely terrible food, no flavor and borderline gross! I felt kind of queasy after leaving just the kung pao chicken and orange chicken were a disgrace to all Chinese food restaurants ever opened. One thing I’ve learned about 4.2 reviews is that they’re more of a 3.2 at best in Bakersfield. Stay safe out there kings 😢

Bamboo Cafe is about as good as fast food gets. The food was fresh and staff was professional and friendly. If you like Panda Express you'll love Bamboo Cafe.

I took 3 people here to enjoy lunch after doctors appointments. We enjoyed the family pack. Nicely priced with way more food than we could eat

Well well well. I was in the area for a Dr. Appointment and was craving some Chinese and was starving considering I had not eaten all day. I walked in and the staff was quite friendly. Being unsure of what I wanted, I was recommended an item which I requested to try just be sure I would actually like it before I bought it and I was quickly met with " We don't give samples" okay I'll buy it...so I purchase my food and walked 15 ft out to my car. I took a bite from each item that I ordered, so let's go down the list.

1. Orange chicken: Tasted old, soggy, definitely in the food danger zone (legitimately cold).

2. BBQ Pork: Probably the most edible ( not saying much) pork meat used was mostly fat, flavor was heavy on some pieces and negligible on others, some were moist and tender but most were dry.

3. Egg Rolls: I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure the wrapper on egg rolls isn't supposed to have the consistency of soggy baby diapers with hints of vegetable flavors.

Worst part, I didn't even get a fortune cookie.

Overall I wouldn't give this place half a star. The only good thing was the price, but if you're in the area...save yourself the heartache, diarrhea, and vomiting, and just go across the parking lot to Vallarta.

They are amazing and well worth every penny!!! The food is always cooked perfect and their pot stickers are to die for!!!!
