I come here for breakfast every Friday.
Their turkey bacon and veggie omelette is delicious! I also ordered a hot chai latte which was amazing.

We love this place! My boyfriend and I come here when I have appointments at CBCC but it’s closer (and healthier!) than some places that we usually eat at so we have started to come by often just to eat breakfast or lunch.

My nutritionist told me to eat my plate with 1/4 protein , 1/2 veggies and 1/4 carbs, beans or 2 corn tortillas. She wants me to avoid pork, red meat, starchy veggies, deep fried foods and carbs. This place helps me do that AND stays flavorful. I don’t have to put up with boring meal prep because i just go here and my lunch is hot, ready and delicious!

We’ve been coming often for a while now. Their portions are fair and prices are reasonable. The food is ahhhmazing! The people are great and the place is clean and convenient. We generally feel better (fueld) after eating here as opposed to feeling bloated or gross, Weighed down or upset to our stomachs.

No matter what I get it’s healthy and handmade. I LOVE that it’s REAL food. Not some processed chicken or side. I absolutely love the tomato pesto things. So delicious!! If I eat an entire lunch plate (in the correct order: protein, veggies, then carbs) I am full for the rest of my day. I always pin these kinds of recipes on Pinterest and repost on Facebook but never actually cook them. I love being able to try similar things, perhaps soon I’ll figure it out at home but for the meantime I have this lovely gem of a place I found!

Oh and if you suffer from internal inflammation; in addition to using non inflammatory oils, and turmeric in their cooking.. they have a very nutritious “Bone Broth” soup that’s mostly puréed giving you all of your nutrients without having a lot of food to digest. Their kitchen is wide open so you can see how transparent they are and how CLEAN they are. The dining room is clean and spacious and there is a little coffee shop like area.

Oh yeah! They serve complimentary coffee with sugar in the raw (Thank you!) and they make lattes and stuff (if you want to buy one). It’s great! I only wish they were open later for dinner time. If you haven’t been I strongly suggest that you go and give it a try. It’s delicious food made by super nice and talented people. Their menu changes weekly online and changes daily. Everything is so delicious it’s def hard to choose just a couple things lol. Plus the brownie bites are DELICIOUS and you can’t taste a difference but they are gluten free (like the expensive Starbucks ones) and I don’t feel bad after I eat them. I don’t feel guilty getting them as an add on because I’m not paying to feel bad after I eat it. Thanks you guys for all that you do. We appreciate it! 🤓

It's a small cafeteria located at the CBCC in Bakersfield CA. There are vegan and vegetarian choices. I think the food is healthy, delicious and portion controlled.
