The essence of a “keeping it local” coffee shop. They remembered me, even though I’ve only been there 3 or 4 times before and 2 years spanning those visits. Amazing service. So warm & inviting. And the coffee & food is delicious!

We were on our way to Cracker Barrel for our weekly breakfast, but we really weren’t feeling the big breakfast restaurant vibe. So, I googled a local coffee place and was pleasantly surprised to find Cup of Joey, locally owned and operated. My husband and I were almost at our wit’s end trying to pick a place to eat that was both kid-friendly and would give us a chance to enjoy some much-needed mommy and daddy time, as well as daughter time.

The owner, who is Australian, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He remembered our names from start to finish, which added a personal touch that you don’t find everywhere. The atmosphere was inviting, and the customer service was top-notch—the best we’ve received in a long time.

The coffee was really good! We tried the coconut raspberry and caramel hazelnut cold coffee, and both were fantastic. We also got breakfast burritos, which were amazing, especially with their green salsa. As a Hispanic, I can confidently say these burritos are approved! The potatoes and cheese were perfect. And let me tell you about the banana cinnamon roll—it was to die for.

This is hands down the best coffee place in Mesa and East Mesa! I will definitely be coming back, and I’ll leave a picture of my toddler-approved new coffee and burrito place!

I’m quite shocked by the amazing service at Joeys. I walked in for my first time and was met by one of the owners who immediately introduced himself and shook my hand. I ordered a coffee and it was great. I don’t live that close but will certainly make my way back.

It's difficult to find a kid friendly place but this is it! My kids don't have to sit but can freely play and I can sip my coffee in the AC. The burritos and cinnamon rolls were delicious. I had an iced pumpkin spice latte and it was great.

Also check out their instagram for their princess events! 👑

Stumbled upon this place because we were nearby and was blown away with not just great coffee and breakfast burritos, but the amazing vibe and staff. Everyone was so welcoming, friendly and warm. Spent individual time with each patron, learned their names, wanted to get to know each customer shared stories. It's been years since I have been at an establishment with such a focus on quality products, pride in their business and most of all, a genuine interest in people. This place should do seminars to businesses about how to run a business in the service industry. Thank you all at Cup of Joey, you are exceptional

Incredible coffee! Family owned and family run! The owner was so personable and went the extra step to make our kiddos feel welcomed too! He turned on Bluey just for them! He also took time to chat with me and my husband. Made for a great experience! The coffee was also delicious (I had the LilliPilli) and had some fun flavors! Everything is named after something in Australia so it makes for a fun theme! I’d highly recommend for coffee lovers and families!

Was in town for the weekend and came across this cute little coffee joint. Excellent, diverse coffee menu. Coffee was great! Had a blackberry iced cinnamon roll, also excellent. The people were so friendly! Also love that it's so dog friendly and they had various treats for dogs who come in. What a fun, cute spot. I would go back if in the neighborhood.

Cup of Joey is more than a coffee shop. They have amazing drinks with lots of sugar free options. They also have a lot of food options, my favorite are the burritos. Today’s choice of burrito was the tri-tip with onion and peppers. It was so delicious! The atmosphere is great, even though I ordered to go. You are always made to feel so welcome, almost like visiting a friend. Highly recommend Joey’s!
