My husband and I were very happy with our two night stay! Plenty of parking, felt safe in the area, and comfortable in the room. We were upgraded at no charge to a king bed room. Everything was clean and in good, working condition! There were few breakfast options, but it was totally sufficient for our needs and what we expected. The staff were kind anytime we came to the front desk, and gave us a toiletry item we forgot upon request. We received our deposit back in less than three days. All of this at a great price!

Horrible experience. Pictures are not what the facility looks like. Stairs are broken and slippery (I almost fell carrying my luggage upstairs), pool was covered in algae, we checked in with a virtual concierge while an actual front desk person didn’t acknowledge us, parking was a nightmare AND they checked my family out a day early without any confirmation from me, nor any notification while we were at my older daughters college graduation. I only noticed it when I looked at my bank account and saw my deposit was released. I called the hotel to find out what was going on and they said they checked us out and that the room should would be cleared by now. My younger daughter overheard this and broke down in tears that all her stuff was gone. It was a HUGE mess. They put me on a long hold and then said “oh they didn’t clear your room because the ‘Do not disturb’ sign was on your door”, which seems fishy bc if you check out of a room, they would clear it regardless. We rushed back to our hotel and my husband ran up to the room while I was trying to talk to the person at the front desk and everything was there and accounted for. My daughter was still very upset and so were we. No manager was available. The staff on site were not helpful and refused to let us speak to a manager. He said he was out of town and that he has no idea on what was going on. So I called the number on the website and asked for a refund for the frustration and inconvenience they caused. They only would refund my deposit, which isn’t a resolution bc they do that after you checkout anyways. For the refund, they said “no” bc I didn’t cancel 24 hours before the visit and that they stand by their policy. How would I have known this place would be a disaster before hand? If I knew, I wouldn’t have booked here. They don’t care about their customers and will take your money. For the amount of money I paid for this hotel, I should’ve stayed at the Best Western down the street instead. Stay clear of this place, they will take your money and do not care if they make your family upset and make your kids cry. What was supposed to be a joyous weekend, ended in stress and tears. Not worth it.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Bayside Inn and Suites, and my experience was exceptional from beginning to end. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, ensuring a seamless check-in process.

The room was immaculate, elegantly designed, and equipped with all the essential amenities for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly cozy, making for a restful night’s sleep after a long day of hiking.

The hotel’s location was ideal—conveniently close to downtown with easy access to explore the area.

Overall, my stay at Bayside Inn surpassed my expectations. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a cheap, convenient place to stay!

Rooms are barely clean
I was supposed to receive my deposit back that never happened. I was then charged $25 for a towel stain that was already on a towel before I checked into the room.
The top sheet was disgusting as well as what ever gross substance that was on the shower rack.
Get a better hotel than this one down the street at Wyndham travel lodge, it will be a much more pleasant stay.
Don't let them take a debit card as a deposit if you do decide to stay they will keep it and tell you to talk to your bank.

I wish I could give it zero stars but I can't.
I got there exhausted at 2 am, their card reader wasn't working for the deposit and some other charge. It took forever to get something worked out. After my trip I saw that I was charged 8 times for the same transaction. I contacted them to get refunded and they denied that they overcharged me. They are no help if they steal your money.

The rooms were not great. There were rips in the bedding. I didn't feel clean the entire time I stayed there.

After-hours check-in with outsourced help. Odd but workable experience; however, I wish that the realized cost-savings trickled down to consumers. Not allowed, or highly discouraged, from bringing breakfasts up to rooms, which is very obnoxious

They are fraudulent. They charge a $100 deposit and they say they will give it back pending review of the room and to give three to five business days time to get it back. I left no damage to the room whatsoever. I was there long enough to sleep and wake up and check out. I checked through my bank statement and I also had my banker check through all of my transactions including my pending transactions and the Bayside Inn of Eureka CA never returned my $100 deposit. I am clean tidy and respectful and I did no damage to the room or anything in it. After speaking to Bayside Inn representative today, they said I should have received $100 deposit, and said that it was already sent back to my account . Then later in the conversation they said it would have been a $90 refund to my account because I had a dirty towel that was stained. I used that towel to wipe off my eye makeup which I could wash out of any of my washcloths at my home and it would come out. After digging deeper and looking through the reviews I noticed that what happened to a few others also happen to me.

The check in with Alex was great, really a nice guy.
The room was large! But very comfortable, very clean and secure.
I liked knowing how security was on top of everything on the property. I felt safe and secure here.
As I travel alot for work, this was a great place to stay.

CON: the area is full of riff-raff homeless scum. Not the hotel's fault...just how it is in Eureka.
The check out is ridiculous: There is a kiosk in the lobby in which you use to check out-to get a printed receipt for business, I had to wait until 0700 for someone to arrive to get it; making me late to my work.
The breakfast is a joke: store bought prepackaged mini muffins and health bar from the local grocery store. You would do better going to the fuel station next door to get something.
The woman that handled my check out: Very nice and professional, she did apologize for the issue of waiting for a receipt, but explained it a manner I was acceptable too.
OVERALL: Hotel was a comfortable, clean and decent stay.
Unfortunately the surrounding area(not their fault) is fraught with homeless people, hookers and drug deals going on around the corner.
I definitely would stay here again.
