Great location, easily walkable to all Ferndale has to offer. Such a great town! The room was large and very comfortable. The scones in the morning were the best I have ever had! The restaurant next door was delicious and highly recommended as well. Everyone was very friendly.

Ferndale is such a gem and being able to stay right off the Main Street makes this lodging so wonderful. Everything was spotless and well laid out for our family in the suite. The freshly made strawberry cardamom muffins were superb for breakfast across the way at the Victorian Inn - a lovely start to a fun filled day sightseeing.

The apartment is spacious and comfortable. We prepared our dinner in the nicely furnished kitchen. Jenny was a gracious hostess during our Grab n Go breakfast which is offered in the Victorian Inn up the street a bit. She told us some fun stories about this area. ||We walked along the streets and admired the architecture. Lovely stay and would certainly return if we were staying in this area again.

We were extremely pleased with the accommodation and its cleanliness. Although we weren't expecting a room with a complete kitchen and appliances this was a bonus for our short stay. Families looking for an extended stay may find this to their liking. The motel was just one half a block from Main street Ferndale which has a number of places to eat all within walking distance. I highly recommend a stay at Redwood Suites if staying in Ferndale.

Redwood Suites in Ferndale was perfect for us! Just a half block away from main street and all the shops. We thought it was wonderfully priced for the very large accommodations. It felt more like a lived-in 1 bedroom apartment than some stuffy hotel room. We will be coming back! We met the owners at the Victorian Inn and there are wonderful people also! Ferndale is such a charming place to visit. We loved our stay at Redwood suites. We had everything we needed including a full kitchen. We really appreciated the thoughtful extras like a room fan. Our unit was clean and comfortable. Visiting Ferndale is delightful and so is a stay at the Redwood Suites.

I was initially going to stay in Eureka for a night as part of a trip from Seattle to San Francisco, but I read several comments which made me uncertain about staying there. Everyone seemed to like Ferndale though, and I'm so glad I took notice. I did visit Eureka on the way and it has some lovely stores and old buildings in the centre, but little Ferndale is just picture perfect throughout. The Redwood Suites are on a very quiet road with safe parking, about a minute's easy walk from the main street. You'll find no shortage of places to eat and shop there, as well as an absolute gem of a public garden maintained by dedicated volunteers and visited by friendly cats. For those of you old enough to remember Salem's Lot, this is your chance to visit THAT graveyard! The suites are in a modern building sympathetically styled to fit in with the area, whilst the basic rooms are like standard motel rooms with the addition of a small bay window. (This was all I needed, but if you want romantic elegant rooms in a historic building, take a look at the Victorian Inn). Our quiet room had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. The man who checked us in and out was very pleasant and helpful, and gave us a nice publication about Ferndale's businesses today and residents of the past. It's a family owned business so your custom here helps the local economy, not faraway shareholders. I really, really enjoyed the boxed breakfast. There was a croissant, butter, jelly and jam, babybel cheese, a nice strawberry yoghurt (I'd buy these at home if we had them available) and a chocolate and almond bar. Because we ate in the Tavern where you collect the breakfast boxes and check out, we were given a hot drink too. It's a lovely room to enjoy breakfast in, but if you're in a hurry you can take the boxes away with you. I think this was my favourite breakfast of all the places I've stayed in 🙂

Overall a very pleasant stay. You aren't as close to bigger cities like Eureka, but if you don't mind a half hour drive this place is perfect. The room was very clean, we were upgraded to a room with a kitchen for no cost, and for how old the town/building was it was up to date in the important ways (shower, kitchen appliances, bed). Very rustic, very cute, for what I needed it was perfect. Very quiet/peaceful - so far off the highway I couldn't hear a single car noise (besides regular street traffic which was little to none).
