We rented for two months. It was dirty when we moved in. My wife's foot was impaled by a fishhook. The shower repeatedly flooded because they used some paint or caulking for the floor that isn't meant to be used. The septic tank had a leach field issue so the ground is soggy all around the cabin and it smells foul constantly. Not a resort or even reasonable accommodation. My wife and I were nothing but kind and considerate toward her and all the other tenants during our very short stay. Donna said she would be reasonable when it came to the deposit being returned. My wife spent FOUR FULL DAYS cleaning and it was absolutely far cleaner than it's likely ever been there. She took $200 out of my deposit! When I asked her about it she told me she and her husband spent 11 hours cleaning....she is a LIAR. This woman claims to be fair and that's simply a lie. "The love of money is the root of all evil.", as it is written! If you rent here you will tip-toe around a belligerent, overbearing woman and you will be robbed of your deposit money! I told her we took a multitude of pictures and she said she had pictures and I told her to send them to me and she never followed through because she is a lair and a thief! That is the truth!

Very nice place and helpful people! Cottage is clean, has everything you need! Just bring clothes and food! Would go back again when we get a chance. Close to Norfork Lake. Decent price! Enough room to park a boat. My husband had a wonderful time fishing! Thank you Mrs. Donna for everything. We loved it. Hopefully we can come back again soon!

Its Great we love staying here. Mrs Donna is great. She goes outta her way to help anyway she can with your stay. We will definitely recommend it to family and friends. You will love cabins! Beautiful place to stay with everything you will need in cabin, and very clean.

Greg and Donna (owners) will treat you like extended family at Hickory Hills. They are very willing to do whatever it takes to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our TV didn't work properly. Greg had a new one for us in 10 minutes. No questions asked. We needed to fax a document and Donna was kind enough to allow us to use hers in the office. ||Our cabin had a newly built deck that overlooked the back part of the 5 acres that Hickory Hills sits on. There were no leaves on the trees when we stayed, so if you looked closely you could make out the water of Norfork Lake. One night while we were sitting on the deck enjoying the evening Greg brought us some of Donna's specialty chocolate cake iced with chocolate frosting that included nuts. It was decadent. ||The cabins are furnished with everything you would need for a fishing trip. They're clean and comfortable complete with Direct TV and a small complete kitchen. Towels and linens are furnished. They are not the most modern or plush accommodations, but reasonably priced and a great value for budget conscious travelers. If you're looking for luxury don't go here, but a guys or family fishing trip would be great. ||The closest boat launch and marina is at Howard cove less than a mile down the road. There are numerous other places to launch a boat on Norfork all within a few miles of the cabins. There is ample space for boat parking. There are laundry facilities available on the property also ($1 per wash, $1 per dry) and a clothesline for hanging laundry to dry. Each cabin has its own charcoal grill. Hiking trails and even a bald eagle's nest are all within 2 miles. It's a 15 minute drive into town, and although Mountain Home is a small community they have a Walmart, Lowes, grocery stores, and even a TJMaxx. It's a 1/2 hour drive to Bull Shoals lake and also a 1/2 hour drive to the White and Norfork rivers for excellent trout fishing. Greg has great tips to help you catch fish whatever species. ||The friendly atmosphere and great value of Hickory Hills will keep us coming back. I think for the money this is the best place to stay in the area. The owners are very nice and accommodating. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Everything we needed in the kitchen was available. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy. It's the perfect place for us to spend a few days while at the lake and take care of ourselves.

Hickory hills resort is absolutely lovely. Mr and Mrs. Meng are the sweetest people, they go above and beyond to make you feel at home. We've been here for 3 months with no plans on leaving soon. If your looking for a great getaway or stay i highly recommend hickory hills.
