This was my third year in a row to bring a group of 15 or more serious fishermen from our club to Cranor’s. Incredible fishing, first class accommodations and resort experience! They have the best guides on the river and work hard to find trophy trout! They’re the best! Can’t wait to go back next year!!

I really didn’t intend to make a review because maybe the experience we had is normal there. But, after a ten hour drive to get there, when my son and I went into the office to check in, the first comment to me from some husky guy, I believe one of the guides, was some wise crack about my Drake camo cap and then turned his back to me.
I introduced ourselves to Donald, not knowing him, I’m not sure he was going to introduce himself, but the feeling both my son and I had when we walked out of the office was a little bewildering. Just something in the air I guess.
We fished two days with the same guide who kinda gave us the feeling that we were a nuisance, even though I know we are both very seasoned fishermen and very easy to get along with.
We had never fished for Brown Trout specifically but this was a once in a lifetime experience for us and was looking forward to a good trip.
We experienced at least three knots come untied on fish, not broke or cut, raveled and untied, something I don’t have happen to myself, period.
I have fished with guides from Alaska to Mexico, Florida and all along the Gulf Coast and I have to say, it was not terrible, but the worst guide experience I’ve ever had.
The guide even had us lower our lines into the water as other guides were boating by ( same outfit ) so they wouldn’t see what we were fishing with, I didn’t understand that since they claim to be such a team. I will say we caught a sufficient amount of fish and I did boat a 24” Brown but we also left with some mixed feelings about the overall experience. And when both, my adult son and I felt the same way, I think there’s something to be said for the lack of hospitality.
Sorry to have to give a little negative feedback, but hopefully it’ll help in the long run.

Great experience with Paden our guide. We were going for big browns that day. We ended up with 45 fish. 30 browns and 15 rainbows. No reason to use any other guides. Book early they fill up.

My wife, daughter, granddaughter and I had a wonderful time fishing and cabin stay. Anyone want an experienced guide with 41 years experience ask for Steven. Can’t say enough about this three day trip. Will be talking about this the rest of my life. Great job everyone involved.

Went out with them as a Father’s Day gift to myself. I had two young kids and myself and from start to finish they treated us great. Booking was easy and well communicated. Day of was great as well. We fished with Chevis, not only is he a great guide and outdoorsman, but he made sure both my son and daughter were having fun and catching fish. We needed the day with a 1 hour limit of 15 rainbows and releases another 60-75 fish and ended the day with a good brown. We will be back and if you are looking for a place to stay and fish I would start here.

All around a great experience! I met Donald and Tim and enjoyed our fishing conversations. Beautiful place, the grounds are well kept, rooms very clean. Easy accessibility from the main road and close to Gassville, Mtn. Home, etc. with restaurants, grocery stores, etc. close by. I arranged for fishing guides through their website and was happy with the guides; Steve and Kurt. I would definitely recommend Cranor's.
