We have family in Mena and have been visiting for years but this is the first time we've stayed at Janssen Place but you can be assured it won't be our last. We stayed in the cottage and it was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts John prepared were wonderful. We so enjoyed his company as we ate. He is so very knowledgeable about the area. Hope to be back in August.

My wife and I decided to take a last-minute motorcycle trip to Mena. Janssen Park had great reviews, boasting a perfect 10 out of 10 on Expedia, so we were glad we booked it. We arrived around 5 PM and found John sitting on the wraparound porch waiting for us. He upgraded us to the bungalow since there were no other guests at the time. We really enjoyed our stay. John drove us to town for some delicious pizza and made an exceptional breakfast of German pancakes. He is super friendly and easy to talk to. Thanks again, John! We look forward to our next stay with you.

We had a fabulous time visiting Mena and staying with John, his wife and his dog, Cool. The cottage was well equipped, bed was very comfortable, lots of options for tv watching. The location is great - easy walk or drive to several restaurants, a neat little ice cream shop and Janssen Park, which had a nice playground, pond and space to walk and jog. Neighborhood was safe and quiet and the cottage was clean and comfy. We will definitely be back!

John owns the house and runs the hotel. He is a nice gentleman. The room is pretty clean and the location is great! Definitely will come back again if we visit Mena in the future.

Incredible B&B for a home base for all things to do in and around Mena. My wife and I have stayed here twice now for a little summer getaways, in both the upstairs of the main house and cottage across the backyard garden. Both different, but wonderful. Jolynn and John are gracious hosts - accommodating, warm and great to talk to. They make you feel more like distant relatives in town on a visit than just random travelers. John is a fantastic cook with a wheelhouse including both the savory and sweet (the oddly named “Dutch baby” is worth the stay alone). Coffee is alway hot, rich and fresh. The big old house is next to it’s namesake park, which makes for a nice walk or hang. Most restaurants and shops off the main drag are a 5-10 minutes by foot. All has a sense of place, birds in the morning, fireflies on warm summer nights… already want to return and have it be the same… in fact ignore all this and stick to the over priced cabins and traffic jams of Broken Bow… Seriously though, Janssen Park Place B&B is a must stay.

Great little place to stay! We loved the cottage - comfy surroundings, multiple tv options, well equipped for longer stays. Safe, quiet neighborhood within walking distance to a cute park, multiple restaurants and a cute ice cream shop. The owners were very kind, everything was clean and breakfast was so good. We will definitely be back next year for fall foliage.

Arrived with no expectations but after 2 wonderful nights we didn't want to leave. The owners, John and Jolynn are very special people that treat you as family. We were welcomed at the door by John and Kool Hand Luke, their very sweet poodle. John took time to setup our tv so we could enjoy watching our game and gave us free reign of the upstairs. Both mornings we enjoyed our breakfast cuisine made to order by John whom might have missed his calling as a gourmet chef. Jolynn doted on us and provided wonderful conversation during our breakfast. We stayed in the Margaret May suite which provided a sitting area overlooking the Janssen Park, a private bath and a very comfortable bed. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle, relax and just enjoy the better things in life, make Janssen Park Place B&B your next stay! We loved it!!

We flew into Mena Airport to have some work done on our plane and needed a place to stay for the night. We absolutely could not have chosen a better place. The owners are the nicest people ever. He volunteered to pick us up at the airport, and on the way to the B & B, he asked if we would like to stop somewhere for lunch. We invited both he and his wife to join us for lunch, and they graciously accepted. |We stayed in the charming cottage, and the accommodations were amazing. The next morning they prepared and served us a lovely breakfast. Their beautiful home is across the street from a peaceful and lovely park. |I could go on, but I will finish by saying everything was perfect.
