I have played music and jammed on the porch of the Wildflower Inn during Ozark Folk Festival for many years, and have stayed at the Inn the last 3 years. This year was a little ... odd because the Inn was in the midst of getting new owners. The Innkeeper Julie, in spite of the fact that she had only been on the job for two weeks, did a great job! I told her I couldn't tolerate a lot of fragrances in the sheets and towels and by golly, my sheets and towels were fresh and clean and not perfumed. She made some of the most delicious cookies I have ever tasted (lemon-blueberry and the BEST chocolate chip cookies ever) and served all the guests a delicious breakfast. I am a vegetarian, and she made vegetarian gravy for me to put on the homemade biscuits! I have never had biscuits with gravy! What a treat! She made sure we were well taken care of. Check-in was easy, and we were contacted a day early to confirm and ask about any special dietary needs.
As to the motel itself: My room was well cleaned. However, the room definitely needs some updating, especially given the fact that the room charge has gone up. There was a lampshade on one lamp that didn't fit and was just balanced there and so when you turned the lamp on, it fell down. The antique easy chair in the room is good to look at, but not good to sit in. The bathroom vent fan made loud noises when you turned it on. The shower was very nice though. The electricity needs some help. There is one socket with a 6-plug kind of falling out of it and there are random switches in the room - unclear what they go to. The window needs cleaning on the outside. The porch floor needs a major mopping... It just needs some attention.
I still love staying there and was impressed with the Julie the Innkeeper.

This was a surprise trip for my wife in honor of our 45th anniversary. Even though the balcony was under renovation, we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. Julie, our host, was warm, inviting and accommodating. The room was beautiful and the bed beyond comfortable. The house was located only one block from the square making everything convenient. We highly recommend them.

There is a new hostess in place, Julie, at the Wildflower. She just took over and did a wonderful job. Had 2 amazing breakfasts there. One morning we had biscuits, overnight oats, bacon and this amazing spinach, tomato, feta cheese and egg frittata. Everything else was in place like always - spotlessly clean and charming.

We stayed at the Wildflower for a long weekend getaway. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We chose the Elderberry suite and it was wonderful. The innkeeper Chris was extremely friendly and welcoming, and a great cook! The breakfasts were awesome, the location is perfect, and there is even a concert next door several times a week! I highly recommend this BnB and we will definitely return again. 5 stars!

Just down the street from Picker Park with Club Possum next door.
Perfect to enjoy the local Bluegrass music environment.

Oh my goodness, what a wonderful Inn!!! We've come to Mountain View many times for the Bluegrass Festival but had always stayed at VRBO homes. This time we decided to stay on the square and luckily chose the perfect place, Wildflower B&B. We stayed for 3 nights and everything was perfect. The location is fantastic with private parking for Inn guests, charming décor, wonderful breakfasts and Chris is the perfect host. We loved it so much that we've booked another stay for March 2025 and can't wait to go back.

Absolutely the best place to stay in Mountain View. This year was our 9th year to visit. We always stay at Wildflower B&B. It never disappoints. The rooms are clean and spacious and the beds and pillows are so comfortable. Can’t say enough about the delicious breakfast and the innkeeper is tops. You will not be disappointed if you book and stay at Wildflower!
